Bad morning

560 Words
The clouds were shades of dark grey. Like the Grey's of paint on an old building. The clouds clustered tightly in the sky covering the morning brightness. The atmosphere was filled with dust and sand particles and the wind happily blew it around. The settlement of Pineville were not in the tiniest way enjoying the weather. They hoped the weather changes soon even though weather forecast says otherwise. Keneti lazily drove out of his apartment. His only wish at that moment was that he didn't have to go to work. The fact that his job was to teach annoying, spoilt and rude student wasn't helping matters. Just the thought of that made him want to drive his car into a volcano and die with it. He had always thought of saving money and traveling to Hawaii so that he could jump into a volcano but somehow the money ends up in a restaurant cash register. Keneti soberly hit the dust filled road. He held his breath as the events of the previous day played in his mind. The previous day was a Sunday and Keneti had gone to visit his dad after a very long time of seeing each other. He used to live with his father and his unemployed and lazy brother in a poorly development area in Pineville but things suddenly changed. Everything was going like it used to until his brother Billy got angry one morning and left. He got angry because Keneti was always teasing him in a very disturbing way. Keneti was always telling him that he should get a job and stop being a pathetic, useless, irresponsible loser. He went ahead to say that if he was Billy, he would have committed suicide long ago because he was worthless. That made Billy so angry that he stormed out of the house. Keneti had thought he was truly going to kill himself but he was wrong. Billy came back two weeks later a rich man. He bought a big house and moved in with his father. Keneti also moved to a more developed area in town but it couldn't be compared with Billy's luxury lair. Since then he had been hearing news of Billy everywhere.. his cars....his houses..... his interviews on television. But you must admit if Keneti hadn't spoken his mind to his brother he wouldn't have made a move. He wouldn't have became one of the county's richest men. He would probably still be living off Keneti. Back to Sunday morning. That morning was going perfectly well, his father had given him a warming and Keneti was more than pleased to hear that Billy wasn't around. He and Harry his dad were having a lovely time discussing and eating lightly. Until he heard a familiar voice behind him. Keneti's wish at that moment was that he hadn't chosen that day to visit his father or better still he could leave immediately. Somehow he knew his brother was going to get back at him for all the years he had been rude to him, most especially because that was the second time they would be meeting after Billy got rich. So Keneti braised himself up for a battle of word exchange. He looked back to see his brother walking towards the towards the dining room with a demonic smile plastered on his face.
