Chapter 2: Maybe she was right.

Sera POV “You told her?” Zen questioned Bella, who wrapped her hands around him with a devilish smile. "Of course, I did," she responded. I thought he loved me… Tears ran down my hot cheeks as those words he said ran in my mind. “How…could you?” My voice cracked as I spoke. Zen turned and stared at me as he smirked. He pulled off Bella off, who wore an aghast look. Zen walked over to me, his hand lifted, with a chuckle. “You thought I ever loved you, huh?” A little laughter echoed through the room, our eyes locked. Nah…it was a joke. “Are you serious right now?” I raised my eyebrows, but there it was, the man I had always thought was a friend, a lover, everything I ever wanted him to be. He stood there, smirking like I was some sort of dead rat in front of him. Every step he made, I moved back, unable to keep up. “Let her be, such trash," I heard Bella's voice as she laughed. She walked over to him and wrapped her hands around his shoulder while staring at me. Those eyes were mine. The face too. But why did she hate me every single day? I regretted ever being her sister, but now, this? “You're so heartless." I spat on the ground, but Bella didn't move an eye; she sighed, pulled Zen face closer, and placed a kiss on his lips. I watched them kiss deeply, their tongues in motion. She held his hair while he sparked her butt loud. This was it, huh? I clutched my chest, unable to catch my breath each time I spied on them. All this while, I was a third party; no, trash to them. I bit my lower lip, preventing those tears from spouting out. “You all are mad!" I yelled, my veins pumping out as I turned to flee outside the house, but Zen voice stopped me. “Do well to close the door when you're done.” Those words pierced through my heart as I turned and left. My legs fastened without looking back. Every part of me wanted to punch them so hard, but that wouldn't happen. The air slashed down my dry skin and wiped off my tears as I ran down the street. Cars were honking, the kids were walking up and down, and everyone had where to head to. But there I was, still in this loop, unable to make a man to love me. I stood there, folded my arms, and stared at the road. Twenty minutes had passed; immediately, a drip of rain fell on my legs, brought a chill down my spine. “s**t!” Before I knew it, I found myself almost soaked in the rain. I rushed toward a restaurant and hid under the canopy. Everyone's eyes were perched on me, like I was some type of trash or a hopeless lady. “Oh,” I roamed my eyes on my clothes; I wore black shorts and a white top, almost torn. Just then, the rain grew stronger, causing my teeth to grind together. Without any further thought, I pulled out my phone and dialed the last number on my caller list, my vision blurry from the rain. Silence. “Hello?” Julius voice pulled out as I brought the phone to my view, only to notice who it was, Julius. “Uhmm, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to—” “Where are you?” Julius cut me off, as he cleared his throat. “I'm at…” I roamed my eyes around, searching for any location board, but couldn't glanced on one. “No idea I meant,” my voice cracked, eyes blinking faster. "Send your location now." Before I knew it, he hung the call. I folded my arms together while bracing the cold air that slashed through my skin as I waited for him. Forty minutes later, I sighted a blue Lamborghini from afar. He drove closer to me as I lowered a little to stare at the person through the window. “Hey, enter,” Julius waved at me from his car. I nodded, held my phone firmly, and walked toward the car. The car opened automatically, and I hopped in. Immediately, I entered his car; my body became warm. I felt my teeth stopped grinded as body wrapped in the warmness of the seat. “Are you okay?" Julius, in his deep-voiced, as he spoke, our eyes locked. I scanned his whole body, from his neck down to his sexy ox tattoo around his chest. I swallowed the lump down my throat; immediately I met his waist, revealed from his shirt. “Are you done staring?” Julius spoke, cutting me off from my thoughts. “I'm…sorry, I di—” “It's fine,” Julius chuckled and got focused on the road. We arrived at a coffee shop, he parked and turned toward me. “Do you mind?” He gestured toward the cafe shop. I nodded and tugged a smile. Immediately, he brought out an umbrella from the back seat, walked out of the car, and then opened the door for me. I quickly stepped out of the car while he balanced the umbrella toward me. Our hands wrapped like some new wedded couples'; his height was all I needed, the far-distance height, his smile, his scent, everything about him sent chills down my spine. We entered the cafe as a worker walked toward us, her hands folded. “Please…have a seat," She led the way while we walked behind her. Immediately we arrived, she smiled and left. Julius suddenly rushed toward me and dragged the empty seat, and I sat down. I watched him adjust his clothes and clear his throat, and then our eyes met. A few minutes passed, a young man approachex us and asked what we wanted. “I would need,” My eyes roamed around the menu as I picked it over my face; the prices been written were way too much. “We would have some coffee, but little honey in it, thank you,” Julius mentioned, as the waiter nodded and left. “Thank you,” I whispered to him as he nodded. Just then, my phone buzzed. I sighed, tugged it out of my pocket, and then brought it toward my face when I saw Mom's number. “I would be right back." I stood up and strode toward the cafe entrance while I answered the call. Silence. “Mom?” “Hello?” Immediately, I felt a sharp pain pierce through my chest as I screamed, gushing some blood out, while my eyes blurred from tears. “What…” Just then, my eyes roamed up as I met Bella; she held the knife, that had blood dripped as she smiled, scanned around, and left. “You would pay for this; I wished for a next life."
