Joanna's POV
I pulled Patrick with me because I did not want to leave him by the gate. He was an irrational man child who behaved like a barbarian sometimes. I knew how fast he could change his mind and go against our agreement. He could even jump the fence just to prove a point. I wish I could do some sort of magic on him so that he could forget our home. I was regretting getting on with him. If only I had stayed home the day I met him, I would not have been having such problems. I had better things to worry about, not some rogue who had mother wounds and expected me to mother him. That was why I liked Julian. He was more of a man than this wimp who operated on threats and blackmails. This was not the way to live; even if I wanted to take him as my mate, this behaviour was off putting. H
