I stay hidden in my own space at work, avoiding seeing Wayne. I nearly gave in, which is wrong, yet he is right. If it was wrong, why does it feel so right? Why I feel like I should, I can’t, though. It would be wrong too. Zane has been nothing but nice since we met back up. Yet my mind is telling me to do what Wayne said. Tell him I am not ready for full commitment, but that just feels like a cheap way to cheat and make it seem okay.
The days pass, and I avoid Wayne as much as possible. Unfortunately, while Ruth is back, she still isn’t well. So, I am still stuck as the PA until she is well enough to ensure all the files and sheets are written well.
I guess I have avoided Elsie because I stay out after work, so there is less chance she is waiting for me. I then leave stupidly early. I
