I left the warehouse exhausted, my mind racing. The entire drive home, I thought about tomorrow's mission, the possible successes and failures. I pulled into the garage, got out, and went inside. The house was dark, everyone was definitely asleep. I climbed the stairs and heard Gabriela screaming from our bedroom. I quickened my pace, threw open the door, and found her thrashing in bed, caught in a deep nightmare.
“Gabi, wake up, you're hitting yourself,” I said, trying to rouse her.
“Get out of here, you bastard! I can't believe you betrayed me,” she yelled, struggling to sit up.
“Betrayed you? With whom?”
“With Juliana! She was here, in our room! Where is she?”
“Look at me. You were dreaming. I didn't betray you. I was with Papa and Vincenzo,” I explained
