Gabrielle knew today was the day she’d have to confront Sophia. She could almost hear her questions coming, especially about what Letizia had said.
As Gabrielle opened her eyes, she saw Leo still lying beside her.
“Are you awake yet?” Gabbie asked, turning towards him.
“Now, not yet,” Leo replied with a playful smile as his eyes stayed closed.
“I was hoping to wake up in a better mood,” Gabbie admitted.
“React,” Leo said, his tone encouraging.
“Sophia’s going to bombard me with questions, and I didn't want my family to find out this way,” Gabbie confessed.
“Sophia’s changed a lot. If you talk to her, I'm sure she'll keep it between you two.” Leo nodded thoughtfully.
