He carried a snack, which he placed before her with a casual ease that only heightened the simmering tension between them.
After she finished the treat, Leo carried the plate and glass back to the kitchen. His movements were relaxed, but they only intensified Gabrielle’s anticipation. When he returned and stretched out on the bed, she watched him with a mixture of desire and determination.
