GABRIELLE POV
Gabrielle dashed down the stairs, her mind racing as she tried to get to the bottom. Just as she reached the last step, her foot twisted sharply, and pain shot through her ankle. She collapsed to the floor, clutching her injured foot, her face contorted in agony.
"Gabrielle, are you okay?" Leo's voice was filled with concern as he hurried to her side.
"Leo, it hurts," she winced, her voice strained as she tried to keep calm.
Without wasting a moment, Leo scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the car. His expression was tense with worry, his eyes darting between the road and her as he drove. Guilt and frustration were etched on his face, and he seemed to be struggling with what to say.
