LEONARDO POV
Leo couldn't sleep, so he slipped into gym shorts and sneakers for a late-night jog. As he closed the bedroom door behind him, he heard Gabrielle’s voice raised in the living room.
Leo appeared downstairs in gym shorts, looking puzzled.
“Were you on the phone just now?” Leo asked, descending the stairs.
“Yeah, chatting with your lover,” Gabbie retorted, tossing his phone at him.
“Wait, Gabbie! Let’s talk,” Leo pleaded, but she stormed past him, returning to their room and slamming the door.
Leo decided to give her space to cool down. He jogged around the condominium marveling at the luxurious houses. Their marriage seemed to take one step forward and ten steps back. Until he could prove to Gabrielle that Jianna was not his lover, this tension would linger.
