Chapter 20

I felt something move beside me, my mind felt like moving through syrup, but what was pushed up against me was soft and warm. I wrapped my arms around it and held it close before falling back asleep. “Master, it's time to wake up.” I heard Indra calling from beyond the door. My pillow was nice and warm so I ignored her and buried my face further into it. “Good morning to you too handsome.” a soft voice whispered into my ear.  My eyes shot open and I looked up to see a pair of beautiful green eyes looking down at me, ‘Oh no.’ my eyes shifted down to see two plentiful mounds that felt incredibly soft. “Ah.”  Was all I could say. I felt her shift letting me feel her legs sandwiching one of my own. “Don't worry my little witch, it can be our little secret.” she whispered into my ear. I felt her soft lips press against my neck. “Master?” The door opened up and Cera walked in, “Master breakfast is ready.” she looked between me and the beautiful blond elf. Her face got red very quickly, “Oh.” she said before making a quick escape out the door. “Well maybe not a secret for long.” Ashala said before dragging me back to bed. Twenty minutes later Ashala said she needed to get back to work, I blushed as she put on her pants in front of me, she looked back catching me examining her I could feel my face getting red. She giggled before heading to the door, “Come see me soon BrightMoon.” she said playfully before making her exit. I couldn't remember a single thing from last night, the last thing I remember was laughing and walking together with someone back to the boat but everything else was a blurry mess. I got up and dressed myself in a state of shock, it wasn't my first time or anything, though I guess in this body it was but I hadnt thought about having a relationship or s*x since I had come to this world. Not that it wasn't a possibility in the future, I sighed and sat at my desk, there was a large package on top. I put away my emotions, even if my thoughts seemed like they demanded to remember Ashala.  Inside the package were my robes I had ordered along with the extra sets of clothes, I slipped it on and while I was pulling on my boots I heard a knock on my door. “Come in.” I called out. Indra stepped into my room with a smile plastered onto her face, “Why the long face master?” she asked. Frowning at her teasing, “Because I can't remember anything from last night, anything special that might have happened I can't even recall it, why didn't you stop me Indra?” I sulked. She giggled, “Master nothing happened last night.” What? The look on my face must have given me away, “Nothing happened last night master. You two came to the ship saying you were celebrating a wedding and you both passed out in the cabin. We couldn't very well carry her to the sprites quarters, so we put you both on the bed. Though Cera said you were naked and Ashala was wearing only her underclothes when she came to wake you both up.”  “That doesn't explain why she was cuddly when I woke up.” I retorted, only half believing her, “or why we were naked.” “You will just have to ask her about it, now it's time for breakfast.” Satera came in a moment later with her own smirk, she put down my meal on the desk before doing a small twirl to show off her apprentice robes before leaving. I took a bite of scrambled eggs and sausage, I glared at Indra, I shoveled the delicious breakfast down and Indra took my plate away still smiling at me. I wiped my hands and got ready to go talk with Ashala. I needed to talk with her about her odd behavior but that wasn't all I needed from her. I also wanted to see if there was a bestiary I could get my hands on, it was about time I tried finding a familiar. I grabbed my cane and stepped out of the cabin, my three apprentices were waiting outside for me, two of them with smirks plastered on their faces while the youngest averted her gaze. “Ok you three can go have some fun, I will be at the Unions building where I will be researching some beasts for our familiars.” I handed them an additional few gold disks each, they all smiled at one another and ran off the boat. “See you later master!” Satera called back before they disappeared into the crowd. I looked out over the edge of the boat and saw several bandit vessels  that were expertly placed so that if I tried to disembark I would be easily blocked. Though it wasn't just me in this predicament, every non bandit vessel that was docked was under this silent blockade. “That's just great. Now how the hell are we supposed to get home?” I spoke to myself. I wasn't sure what these bandits were plotting but I didn't miss the fact that there were town guards all over the place.  Alot of them were younger men who looked like they hadn't been on the job long either, they looked nervous, I held off the thoughts about the bandits. I had other things to worry about, it may be easier to take the ship but we could always walk.  I warned my sprites to be extra careful and to come and get me if anything happened. My little army seemed to take my words to heart and turned from happy go lucky little creatures to a murderous little gang of devils. I left the ship and limped to the hunters union building, I spotted Ashala and made my way over to her, she noticed me coming and she smiled at me and a light blush came to her cheeks. “It was just an hour and you are back for more of me already?” she teased but the look in her eyes was more affection than what she was letting on.  “Mind if we go to your office to talk?”  There was a flash of worry but she quickly hid it, I offered her my arm though she would probably be helping me out more than the other way around. Her smile returned and she stepped up beside me and took my arm. I felt the soft pressure of her chest pressing against my arm and I had to try not to think about them as we went up the stairs.  “Boss, what are you doing with that customer?” a familiar yet frosty voice came from behind us. We turned to see Jillian at the stairwell. Ashala looked at me before turning to her assistant, “Jillian it's not what you think.” “So you aren't sleeping with a high end client and employee of the hunters union?” Jillian aked, her tone taking an accusatory note. “Well, we are sleeping together bu-” Before she could finish Jillian gasped, “Boss you know sleeping with members and clients is against regulations.” she hissed. “Jillian it's not like that, of course we are sleeping together, he is my husband after all.” Ashala said, her face turning red. “What?” “What?” Jillian and I said at the same time. “Don't you remember, we went for a walk after dinner and roamed the streets until we found a large garden. The full moon wrapped us in a cold beautiful light, you kissed me and told me we would be together till the end of time. You made us a pair of rings of black stone while your eyes blazed a cold and fierce light, just like the moon.” As she told the tale bits and pieces came back to me, I looked at my hand and sure enough there was a new ring on my right hand that I hadn't noticed before. A matching ring was on Ashalas own hand, there was a small yet bright white dot in the center of the ring. The ring was definitely enchanted but it wasnt with an element I had used, through it I could feel a connection to Ashala, I could feel her affection along with the fact that she was safe. There was also something else there but I didn't know what it was. I went from being single to complicated and then married all in a single night.
