Clack.
Clack.
Clack.
The distinctive sound of expensive male leather shoes walking on tiled floors echo in the dark empty hallway.
The wearer with long even strides stood out in the dark due to the pure white clothes he was wearing.
White expensive leather shoes.
White long fitting pants.
White turtle neck sweater.
And a white knee length trench coat, fluttering as he rounded a corner.
The over six feet tall male with his hands tucked inside his pockets made his way up the stairs. Although his strides were wide and he took two steps at a time, he wasn't in a hurry.
His legs were just too long to walk slower than he already is.
As he reached the last step, he noticed the roof top door was left wide open and from where he stood he could already see his prey tightening a knot on the railings. He watched as the man picked up the loop and put it around his neck before struggling to climb atop the flat top of the railings.
He walked to stand at the door and leans on the frame. A faint smile and a sharp breath of air through his nostrils was the only indication that he was amused by this.
The small noise didn't go unnoticed by the man though. He turned quickly almost tripping over only to quickly straighten up, too quick to save his life for someone planning to commit suicide.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Ryder asked calmly, his voice deep, low and even.
"Don't come any closer!"
The man looked crazed as he shouts.
His bloodshot eyes were wide as if he was seeing a ghost...or to be more precise, the devil.
The only person he's ever met that's able to make the color as pure as white looks so dangerous with his ebony black hair that fell over the right side of his face completely covering his right eye making him look all the more deadly.
"I asked what you were doing?"
Ryder's cold voice sent shivers down his spine.
'How did he know I was here?'
That didn't matter though, what mattered to him as of that moment was to die.
Without wasting a second more, the man jumped off the roof.
He began to choke as the noose tightened around his throat.
Ryder who looked too amused for a situation like this took his time walking the remaining steps towards the rails.
He leaned over with his hands still tucked in his pocket to stare at the flailing man whose hands were wrapped around his neck as his eyes began to roll behind his head.
With a roll of his eyes, Ryder gripped the roped and jerked it back up sending the man flipping over the rails to be sprawled on the floor with a painful thud.
Ryder loosened the noose around the neck of the man whom was now choking, struggling to catch his breath before replacing it with the sole of his shoes.
"Did I give you the permission to die?"
He asked, his voice inhumanly cold as he adds pressure to the man's throat.
"Pl-plea-se le-let m-me die!"
He spluttered out.
"I-i'm sorry...ju-just let me d-die!"
"Words like please, sorry, are just a waste of vocabulary, don't you think so? they don't change anything do they?"
Ryder lifts his foot from the man's throat.
"And here I was thinking you were a smart man, trying to kill yourself when I wasn't done having fun yet."
He tsked.
"Now tell me, how do you think I should punish you for this little stunt you just pulled, huh?"
Ryder asked with a c**k of his brow.
He wasn't looking for an answer though. Instead he continued.
"Your little girl, Elizabeth was it? Such a lovely thing she is. Isn't she?"
Ryder taunts, his voice sounding distant as if he was reminiscing the time he had spent with the said girl .
The man who was in the process of standing up jerked his head up, his eyes wide as he looked up at Ryder.
"We wouldn't want something bad happening to her out of the blue now, would we?"
"You crazy bastard..."
He croaked out, his eyes filled with rage as he dashed towards Ryder who side stepped his attack with an amused smirk playing on his lips, his silver-gray eye sparkling with amusement.
"No. You're the crazy bastard."
Ryder turned to say to the man who now lay sprawled on his back, with only his elbows supporting his weight.
Bending his waist slightly to stare directly into the man's eyes, Ryder whispers with a sadistic smile as if telling him a secret.
"...I made you crazy."
"Please...Please I can't take it anymore..."
The man sobbed as he scrambled back on the floor.
"Funny isn't it? How you could give but can't take."
Ryder stated coldly as he took slow steady steps towards the man who kept on scrambling back until he collided with a wall.
"She begged as well, she cried, screamed, pleaded with you but that didn't stop you from repeatedly forcing yourself on her did it? I bet you never thought that scrauny seven years old kid back then would be the one to bring you to ruins 13 years later."
"Kill me...please just kill me, I'm sorry...I'm sorry..."
He crawled towards Ryder as he begged gripping the end of Ryder's pants as if his life depends on it. Ryder looked down at him with a glare so cold time almost froze over.
"Why should I? I'm not a killer."
"But dont worry, Your wish would be granted... in due time.
As for now, Enjoy a taste of your own medicine."
Ryder jerked his feet out of the mans grip.
"You've got grease on my pants."
He stated distastefully as he stare down at the crease on the hem of his pants before he turned around to the exit.
"In the mean time while I'm gone, think of your lovely daughter and don't do anything I wouldn't approve of."
He said as he walked away.
As Ryder reached the end of the hallway he slowed down his steps.
"Why are you following me?"
The colorfully dressed boy with dyed rainbow hair and piercings hastened his steps to walk alongside Ryder. His lips were spread in a wide grin.
He blinks his eyes rapidly while gazing up at Ryder, as if expecting something.
"You did well."
Ryder said to the boy who beamed like he's just been awarded a lottery
"Stop following me and go home."
The boy c****d his head to the side, as if asking ; 'You're not coming with me?'
"No."
Ryder answered curtly.
'Where are you going?'
His eyes seemed to ask.
"Go home."
Ryder reached over to ruffle the boys hair before he continued down the hall leaving the boy frozen in place with a wide smile as he gingerly caressed the spot Ryder had just touched.
