Chapter 15

Back to being on the road again, New York City bound! I'm kind of happy that the road trip is almost over because being in a vehicle for the past two weeks has been exhausting. I can't even imagine how Damon and Sebastian feel with having to drive it all. 

We just made it into the New York state border when the music that was lowly playing blared the next lyrics.

Now you're in New York (ah-ha, ah-ha, ah-ha) (uh, yeah)

These streets will make you feel brand new (new)

Let's hear it for New York

"Really Jace?" Matt deadpanned as the song was turned up for that part. Jace snickered and shrugged.

"I thought it was fitting" he stated making Matt roll his eyes.

"I want to take you to dinner tonight" Tanner says as he nuzzles his face into my neck, tightening his arms that are wrapped around my torso. Shivers run down my back from his deep voice vibrating against my skin. 

"Oh yeah? What happened to us spending time with our friends?" I teased while pushing myself back against his chest. 

"Jace, Matt and Ryder want to explore the area near NYU since that's where Matt and Ryder are going to be attending this fall and then the other three will be going out themselves....leaving us to do whatever we please" he finishes with a nip to my earlobe. I turn around in his arms and snake mine around his neck. 

"I think your skills for asking someone on a date need a little bit of improving" I tell him with a smirk.

"Are you really complaining?" he asks with his eyebrows raised. I let one of my hands come forward to trace his eyebrows.

"No, but I did picture something a tad more romantic" 

"We're already dating, aren't grand date proposals for trying to win over the person?" he asks and I gasp.

"Are you saying that you don't have to try as hard now that we are together?!" I asked in mock horror. 

"Oooooh someone isn't getting laid tonight" Matt's teasing voice earned a couple snickers from the group. Tanner just rolled his eyes and moved his hand from my back. I could only assume he flicked Matt off by the short laugh that came shortly after the movement. 

"A and B conversation, C your way out of it" Tanner then said while looking down from the overhead bunk to the group sitting our the table or sofa before he looked back at me. "So is that a no?" 

"No" I said and his face looked taken back, making me giggle. "No, as in no it's not a no. Of course I'll go to dinner with your sexy ass" I chirped and planted a few small kisses on his chin, that he hasn't shaved in a couple days so it is slightly scruffy. 

"I need to shave" he comments after I plant the final kiss to his lips.

"I don't know, I kind of like it" I scratch the stubble lightly with my fingertips and he grimaces.

"Eh, I don't except in winter. Helps keep my face warm" 

"I'm pretty sure that you'd have to sport a full on beard for any sort of warmth" I told him with a laugh. He laughed in return before pressing his forehead to mine.

"Well now I have you for warmth in the winter" he gave an eskimo kiss and I smiled brightly. 

"Corny" I snort but really I adore how affectionate he is like this and I hope he never stops.

"Did you know that incest is legal in New Jersey and Rhode Island" Jace's voice stated out of the blue. I turned over to look down at him with everyone else. He looked up to see everyone's eyes and blushed. "I was just curious and googled it" he muttered before Dakota wrapped an arm around him to pull him into his side. 

"Ever the curious one" Dakota said while placing a kiss to his temple. 

"Looks like we're moving to New Jersey or Rhode Island, Tan" I joked

"I would follow you wherever" he whispered in my ear making me beam. The RV all of a sudden jerked making everyone look panicked.

"Damon Archibald Pierce, keep your hands on the steering wheel!" Sebastian's voice rang loudly through the vehicle. Damon's laughter flowed freely from him. 

"Oooh used the full name too" Dakota snickered.

"Next gas station and we are switching" Sebastian grumbled.

"Calm down Sunshine" he cooed "We're almost to our destination anyway" 

"Thank goodness, my legs need to be stretched" Matt groaned. 

"Someone should go wake up Ryder" Jace mentioned, snuggling further into his brother's side.  

"I didn't even notice he wasn't out here" I hummed and Jace rolled his eyes at me.

"I volunteer as tribute" Matt chirped before standing up from the bench seat at the table.

"You're a nerd" Jace called after him as he made his way to the room in the back. Tanner and I scooted off of the overhead bunk to the table and sat as Damon figured out where we were to park this thing before making our way to our hotel. 

Ryder and Matt soon emerge from the back and take seats opposite of us. The dark haired boy rubbed his eyes with a yawn.

"Get a good nap in" I asked and he nodded in response. 

"Yeah, it also makes being on the road feel shorter" he admits with a chuckle.

"Touché" Jace chimed in.

Eventually we are parked and are grabbing our bags before waiting on a van Uber to come take us to our requested hotel in Manhattan. Stepping out of the vehicle you can hear how alive the city is. The sounds of traffic, honking of horns, people chattering, dogs barking, sirens blaring down the street. We chose a Hilton hotel that over looks the East River. 

"Alright everyone" Damon claps his hands together "We check in and settle in before we go our separate ways" We all nodded following his direction into the hotel's lobby. We checked in and we got rooms on the same floor, heading into Tanner and I's room we give a salute to the other's before we shut the door. I let out a big breath falling on to the king size bed, feeling good knowing we have our own room yet again and also the fact he has something planned for us tonight.

"Is it formal or casual?" I ask with my eyes closed. I hear a snort come from Tanner before feeling the bed dip.

"Casual, we don't have anything formal to wear dork" he muses as his body molds into my side. I move my arm to pull him closer to me. He lays his head on my chest while his arm lays across my waist. 

"Figured I'd ask, when are we going anyway? It's already like.....4pm" I tell him as I cracked an eye open to look at the alarm clock on the nightstand next to the bed.

"We're going around 6, I wanted to just spend time with just you....alone" he replied softly 

"I'm not complaining" I told him, tilting my head to kiss his head. He let out a heavy sigh, making me run my fingers through his short hair. "Talk to me" 

He's hesitant before he says anything. "What if I hate bottoming?" 

His question surprises me, definitely thought it was something more troubling. Not saying that, that isn't troubling. I guess the inexperienced is eating at him.

"Tanner" I softly say and his head tilts up, his gorgeous chocolate eyes gazing at me. "Well some people don't prefer it" I shrug "It's something you try and if it's a no then it won't happen again" I boop his nose and he frowns.

"I don't want to disappoint you" he murmurs but it makes me smile

"You couldn't disappoint me Tan...unless you cheated on me then yeah, that would disappoint me" I stated and he scoffs.

"Never going to happen" 

"Better not, you're mine forever" I said cheekily and he leans up and places his soft lips against my welcoming ones. The kiss is soft and loving, not advancing just a smooth and gentle kiss. I hum in appreciation as he cups my cheek with his hand, his tongue gliding slowly across my bottom lip. My lips part slightly, my tongue poking out to meet his, teasing each other before he pulls back. He looks at me with seriousness and love.

"I'll try tonight" he says

"Are you sure?" My fingers trail down the side of his face "We don't have to rush you into that" I add. I really don't want him to feel like he needs to rush into something that could cause him to be uncomfortable. 

"Positively sure Char" he confirms with his beautiful smile.

"Okay" I return his smile "Do you know how to prep for that?" I ask him and he gives me questioning look.

"Lube and fingers?" 

"No" I laugh and his cheeks tint pink "You're adorable, no I mean clean yourself before that part" and it takes him a minute to understand what I meant by clean himself. His mouth opens into an 'O' shape.

"Erm, no...I don't" he replied while scratching the back of his head with a sheepish expression.

"Don't worry, I'll show you the ropes" I said warmly while sitting up and bending over to grab my duffle bag. I zipped it open and grabbed the douche out before turning to him and holding it up. "Let's take a trip to the bathroom" I patted his thigh, standing up waiting for him to follow. He slowly stood next to me and I took his hand, giving a gentle squeeze as we made our way into the bathroom.

"I need you to strip" I ordered as I shut the door.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure I only need to strip the bottom half" he quirked an eyebrow.

"Well you wouldn't want to get anything on your shirt, would ya?" he grimaced before I continued "Plus, I love to look at you" I gave a wink as he started to shed his clothing one by one. My body started to warm with his little strip tease. Definitely not the time Charlie, I scold myself but my eyes roam the planes of his naked and perfect body. I let out a soft groan. Tanner send a smug grin my way then I clear my throat.

"Alright, so we fill this bottle with lukewarm water, not hot and not cold" I explained while turning the faucet on before filling the bottle up after a couple rinses. "Then you take the nozzle and put it in, squeeze the water and then hold for a couple seconds before you release it in the toilet...you will repeat that until the water runs clear" I told him as the look of uncertainty crosses his face. 

"You don't have to do this yet" I softly said and he began to shake his head quickly.

"No, no...I'm going to be a team player" he reassured before taking the bottle "Could you like get out though?" he asked shyly with his cheeks turning crimson. Awww, he's just too cute.

"Of course, whatever makes you feel the most comfortable baby" I give a wink before exiting the bathroom and plopping down on the bed again. It makes me extremely excited to know he wants to try it with me. I hope he enjoys it, but I know sometimes bottoming just doesn't do it for some people.

I should probably call Lydia, haven't talked to her in a bit. I dug out my phone and tapped the video call icon next to her name. It only took a few rings before she answered.

"Charliekinz!" she screamed with a smile "How are you doing? Where are you at? How is everything?" she rattled off excitedly.

"Slow down, crazy woman" I chuckled "I'm doing good, Tanner is taking me out to dinner tonight" I smiled as she let out an 'Awww'

"We are in New York City and everything is good....no, great...fantastic" 

"Ooooh you're so cute when you're both in love with each other" she cooed

"Shut up" I grumbled with a smile "So we should be home within two and a half weeks" I informed her.

"Yay! Good cause I miss youuuuuu" she gasps "And then that means we're going to Duluth with Trey" she gushed and I groaned.

"I forgot that we were doing that" I facepalmed.

"What? You don't want to go?" She asked with a frown and concern written on her face.

"It's not that, I'm just sick of being on the go" I sighed "And also Trey doesn't know about this...Tanner and I and that means hiding it from him and I just don't want to hide it" I whined. 

"I get it, both parts" she nodded 

"Don't worry, your pretty little head" I reassured "We are still going"

"Will Tanner ever tell Trey?" she asked lowly and I blew out a long breath.

"I want to say yes because when you two get together, I know you'd probably slip up and talk about it"

"Hey!" she exclaimed 

"What? It's true" I laughed "But I also don't know if he will because we don't know how Trey would react and he's his best friend" I frowned.

"I couldn't date him then" she stated simply.

"Bullshit"

"No, seriously....If I can accept love in all forms then I can only accept a partner who feels the same way because I need someone to respect what I value as well as I respect what they value" 

"Wow Lyds, that's awesome and you're so right...I could only hope he does accept it" I say as Tanner emerges from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist "Alright, I gotta get ready for dinner...I'll talk to you later Lyds! Love ya"

"Have fun" she wiggled her eyebrows "Love ya" she says before the end call noise sounded.

"You okay?" I ask as I set my phone to the side and standing to face him.

"Yeah, no, no everything's good.......that was probably the most uncomfortable thing I've endured but I hope it's worth it" he gave a weak smile.

"I'm sure it will be" I wrap my arms around his waist and kiss his nose "C'mon let's get ready for dinner" I pat his butt and we grab different clothes and head into the bathroom to shower together.

I make sure the shower is the temperature I want before I start to strip my clothes. Tanner slides the towel off of his waist and steps under the spraying water. It is such a beautiful sight to see. The water cascading down his smooth tanned skin. He grabbed the mini bottle of shampoo provided by the hotel and squirts a little into the palm of his hand. At this point, I'm standing shirtless, ogling his body as he scrubs the shampoo into his short blond hair. The sudsy water flowing down his back muscles on to his volumptuous ass. 

"Gonna stand there and stare at me all night or are you going to join me?" he asks with a smirk. I quickly stripped the rest of my clothes off and hopped in behind him, pulling his body back against mine. I kiss his neck, the tastes of soap on my lips as I trail them down his shoulder. He leans his head back and we spend a moment just cherishing this time together.

"We don't have much time before dinner" he softly says, not moving from our embrace. I hum in response before waddling us in a circle so I'm under the water now. His laughter echoes in the small bathroom.

"Oh, so that's how it is. Cuddle up to get the water" he teases as he spins around to face my grinning face.

"Maybe" I snicker but grab the back of his neck and pull his lips to mine for a quick kiss. "But you are right, we don't have much time" I grab the shampoo and lather it in my hair before rinsing it out and grabbing the body wash and proceeding to wash his body while he washed mine. Team effort.

After our shower we dress in our clothes and make our way out of the door and down to the sidewalk where he directs us where we will be eating tonight. My hand itches to hold his as we walk but I restrain myself. He glances over and gives me smile before wrapping his arm around my shoulders. Surprise overtakes my face and I look at him in question.

"If some see the resemblance they'll probably think we are just close siblings" he shrugs "Others who won't pay attention to what we look like will probably just not even take a second glance" he finishes.

"If you're sure" I relax in his hold and we continue our walk.
