KIERAN'S POV The news about Daniel hit me like a bomb. Even with the divorce, I'd arranged for my son to have a discreet security detail on daily life—trusted men from my own pack. And now they were unreachable. Something was very, very wrong. I arrived at the school expedition site in record time, my Alpha senses already scanning the area, picking up nothing but the fading scents of children and panic. Then I saw her. And him. Rage, white-hot and immediate, surged through me. What the hell was she doing? Our son was missing, and her first instinct was to bring him—a man she'd known for weeks—instead of calling me?
