Lydia’s car remained parked outside the Ashford mansion. She stared at the gate for a little while longer before turning on the engine.

Lydia turned off the engine again and picked up her phone to check. The notification was about the trending news concerning Celeste. She didn’t feel interested in checking what it was about, so she swiped up on her phone to clear the apps running in the background so she could turn off her internet connection.
