The meal was eaten in comfortable silence.
After they finished eating, Evelyn thanked Alexander before excusing herself.
"I should get going now, Grandpa."
Alexander nodded before turning to Vincent.
"Vincent."
"Yes, Chairman."
"Tell Caleb to drive Evelyn home."
Evelyn immediately shook her head.
"No, don't worry, Grandpa. I drove here."
"You did?"
"Yes, Grandpa."
Alexander smiled warmly.
"Alright then. Take care of yourself and drive carefully."
Evelyn returned his smile.
"I will."
It felt good to have someone care about her like this again.
Alexander looked at her kindly.
"And make sure you come and visit your grandpa sometime, alright?"
"I will."
Evelyn gave him another respectful bow before waving goodbye.
"I'll see you again soon."
