Evelyn stood still in shock.The Damien in her memory had never hugged her-especially not at this particular event. She remembered vividly how cold he had been to her at the birthday banquet in her previous life. Detached and distant. As if she didn't exist at all. That memory clashed violently with what was happening now. She stood frozen in his arms, unable to move.
