Jeremy drove through the deserted road with his friends who were having fun throughout the ride. The darn girls sitting in the passengers seats kept touching him and kissing his cheeks "Watch it girls. I am not old Peter pan who you can romance like a little bag of gum," "Dude, these are pretty girls. Be nice to them," "I am being nice," he cooed. He suddenly came to an halt and all eyes were on the deserted road. It was an old woman struggling with her goods. "Get out of the way, old woman!!!" One of his friends roared at the woman and Jeremy hit his head. He hopped out of the car and helped the woman. "Mr too goody, we are getting late," the one with rude words complained. "Shut up old guy," he snapped at him and helped the woman to the side of the road. "Thank you son," "It's okay ma'am," "Bagali," she muttered and he looked at her. "Um?" "Nothing son. Thank you so much," "Sure ma'am. Where is your home?" "By the side of the highway," "That long? Let me help you," "It's okay son, I can manage." "No you can't. Just walk behind me and let me help you," he said and she smiled happily. He lift up her stuffs and one of his friends hopped out of the car. "Dude, what are you doing?" "I am helping the woman." "Dude?" "Common ma'am," he turned to the woman and helped her. He went up the highway while the woman followed behind. They both arrived at an old house and Jeremy batted his lashes. "Is that it?" "Yes son," He dropped the stuffs inside and looked around. The house is quite old and beautiful. "Well ma'am, I have to leave. My friends would be waiting," "Wait son," Jeremy looked at her. "Jera sahelm bagali," "Uh?" "You will figure it out soon," "Okay? I will be on my way," he said in a confused state of mind. What was that?? He walked out of the house and approached the deserted road. The road was empty. No friends, no car. "Sigh... those guys," He tried calling one of them but damn!! No internet! "Looks like I will have make use of my legs," He stared at his wristwatch and made a slight sigh. "Well, this is it. Jeremy, you are walking," Jeremy walked for quite a while with his hands in his pockets. The young guy was kinda exhausted but this eyes wasn't. His eyes kept touring the beautiful forest and Riverside. He approached a girl who was battling with her dirty hair. She kept walking and struggling while he was avoiding her and tailing behind. She turned around and frowned at the young man. "What?" She turned around again and walked while Jeremy kept tailing behind. She turned around to look at Jeremy who was quite confused. "Are you following me?" "No I am not. What made you think I would be following you?" She turned around again and assumed Jeremy was a thief trying to steal from her. She brought out a knife from her back pocket and pointed it on his face. "Wh...what are you doing?" "Are you a thief?" "Do I look like one?" "Then why are you walking behind me and keep stopping whenever I take an halt," "Cause you are freaking me out. I am a pedestrian and not a thief okay? And your hair stinks, go wash em' " He walked away avoiding her. She smelled the tip of her hair twice and ran to him. "My hair smells nice," "Yeah right," "Where are you going to?" "Non of your business," "Rich brat," she muttered. "What did you say," he asked turning around to look at her "Non of your business," She walked into the forest and Jeremy looked at her in a confused state of mind. "Where are you going to?" "Home. I am going home," "For your information, that deep dark place doesn't look like a home to me, more like a forest," "Yeah, the forest is my home. I leave with my mother," "Strange people around here," he muttered and she chuckled. "Bye, see you sometimes. Maybe in the future," "Sure, bye," he waved at her as she made an exit through the forests. *** Sonia approached her house and met Mariah and her mother rejoicing. "Sonia!!!" Mariah ran to her and held her hand. "What's the occasion?" "I got a job at the city. We are moving to the city," her sister broke the news and she widened her eyes in surprise. "Really?" "Yeah, I am receiving a lot of amount as my salary. Gosh, I am so so happy right now," she said happily and the two sisters screamed in excitement. "We would be living in an estate filled up with the rich and the influential. We can even be famous," They screamed again and their mother grabbed their earlobes. "Oww, oww, mother!!" They both winced in pain. "You two are busy screaming and jumping when we got some goods to take care of," "Mom, that hurts," Mariah complained. "Who will do our stuffs if you kept complaining and screaming in excitement? Common," *** A large party was going on in the mansion. Rich and famous, young and old, the party is an outburst. Jeremy walked in with his face looking pretty upset. He saw his friends having fun with girls as usual and he frowned at them. "Mr too too goody," one of them teased and he frowned. He was obviously paranoid. His mother faces him and touched his cheeks. "Jeremy, where have you been? Your father and I have been waiting and trying to call you but you were not reachable," "Well mom, I am here now. Stop thinking about all those dang unreachable stuffs." "Sigh... Jeremy?" "By the way, where is father and little sis? I have missed them quite a lot." "First go take a bath and come right to the party. Your pretty face look..." "Yeah, yeah, keep teasing,"
