Chapter 10 : The Fire

The next day, I woke up early and took a bath, when I got to hold my uniform a vision popped up on my head.

~I can see myself in front of a building, It's the fighters building... I looked at my watch 11:35 am, then suddenly I smelled smoke, I looked to where it was coming... the Laboratory and it's on fire! Not long after, it affects the whole building. Then, students are screaming... others are crying for their dead friends... some are injured... I looked at my watch again...~

"Oh s**t! That will be today!"

I always wore my watch and it stated the time and date, so if I can see myself in the future I always looked at it. 11:35 am, 35 minutes after the bell rang for lunch break, the fire will start.

My class started, the teacher is discussing his lesson but my mind is flying somewhere. I don't want to get involved but I can't help myself glancing at my watch!

However, it's lunch break how come students are inside that building? I have to find out... I can't let students die for something I can prevent to happen. I have to do it without getting suspicious.

*Ring!* The bell rings "Class dismissed." The teacher said ending his lesson.

"Thank you Sir." Everyone said in chorus.

*Twinkle twinkle little star-* I answered the phone.

"Sup Stella! I have a great place we can enjoy our lunch today!" I exclaimed happily but the truth is, I'm so tense. I hope I can make everything alright without getting myself suspicious.

"You really know it's me hah!" She laughed "That would be great! Oh, I'm so excited!"

"May I know what place is that?" Elena asked smiling from the phone. Good, they are together.

"It's a garden surrounded by flowers. I don't know what it's called though."

"Ow! I know that! The Wheels Garden! That place is truly awesome! Just a perfect place for our bonding because only few students go there. Well, most of the time no one goes there." Elena stated.

"Why?" Curiosity filled me.

"Because of a legend, they said a white lady is lurking around the area. They named her Matilda." She said using her scary voice.

"Oh my gosh! I can meet a ghost! That's awesome! I'm really excited!" Stella beamed excitedly and I laughed.

"Okay then, let's see each other at the field. I'll be waiting." I stated. Time is running and I'm calculating it.

"Sure, we'll go get our lunch. See you!" Stella said and ended the call.

I went at the field and waited for a moment. 

"Kelly here we come!!" Stella shouted holding a trey of foods while Elena is smiling also holding a trey of foods.

Perfect! 11:20 am, 15 minutes is just enough. We'll get there on time.

I walked towards them. "Hey girls! I missed you two!" I smiled widely as I hold their hands careful not to spill the foods.

"Wow hah, we just saw each other yesterday." Stella laughed followed by Elena.

I smiled "Let's go?" as I get a bottle of water from Stella's trey. ~11:35 am, small fire started at the laboratory, no casualties yet.~ Good. I drink some water from the bottle.

"Yup! Towards Matilda!" Elena exclaimed.

And we all laughed.

"Stella can I help you with the trey? I really wanted to carry it, though. I hope you don't mind." I offered.

"Of course I don't mind but-" I cut her off as I took the trey from her.

"Thank you!" I exclaimed.

"Btw, where's that Wheels Garden?" Stella suddenly asked.

"It's at the back of the Fighters building." Elena answered.

"Ohhhh."

I looked at my watch, exactly 11:35. We're now near the Fighters building and I saw a glimpse of smoke coming out, it's starting. As we walked closer...

"Agh! Help!!" We hear someone screamed. The two immediately looked to where it was coming and they saw smoke coming out from the Laboratory.

"Oh s**t!" Stella run towards it. "Oh my gosh!" Followed by Elena throwing the trey of foods.

Sorry girls, I used you but you'll be fine, I ensure that...

I put the trey of foods in a corner and followed them. The moment I got inside the building, the emergency alarm started ringing but curiosity filled me when water did not come out from the emergency shower. Strange... did it malfunctioned?

I can see students running out of the building...

I run towards the Laboratory to see Stella waving her hands without gloves that created a big amount of water floating in a flat circular shaped above the fire and let it fall, which made the fire stopped. While Elena dances her hands on the air and I can see smokes going in one specific area... suddenly, it disappeared from the flick of her hands.

What a scene!

"Woah! So cool!" A guy suddenly comes out on one corner of this laboratory room. The guy with an eyeglasses... Josh Walter. Suddenly, he looked around but stopped at Elena and his face immediately turned worry. "Elena? Why are you here?" He walked closer towards Elena and scan her body and then breathed out the moment he saw no injury. Owwkaayyy...

"I'm fine Josh." Elena stated and started walking out of this laboratory room but before he got out of the door...

"Hey! Is everything all right?" The playboy... Kenneth Marquez popped on the door. Looking around the room to see it all wet. "What happened?" He asked Elena but his eyes held worry.

"We saw this laboratory on fire so we ran and Stella stopped it." She said pointing towards Stella.

"Stella..." He looked to where Elena is pointing and then from worry his eyes sparkled and his lips turned into a smirk. "Ow! It's you!" He beamed pointing at her.

Stella rolled her eyes and folded her hands "tch."

Kenneth walked closer towards her "How did you stop the fire? Did you sing on it?" He asked. Sing??

"Agh! You don't care!" She stomped her foot and walked out but before she got on the door another guy popped up, the guy in red hair, John Roberts.

From here I can see Josh staring at Elena with... longings? Okay, I think there's something with them.

"Is the fire already stopped?" John asked.

"No, dude actually it is still on fire you just can't see it." Another guy comes in which made me immediately turned back... James Wilson. Why these guys are popping from somewhere!?!?!

"Tch." John snorted.

Some smiled while others chuckled.

"How did the fire stopped?" John suddenly asked.

"That girl on your side did it. I don't know how, maybe she sang and it disappeared." Kenneth let out a small laugh.

"Will you stop it!?" Stella exclaimed in anger.

"Or what? What can you do?" He tested.

Stella walked towards him smiling sweetly. I looked at her hands, she don't have her gloves... Oh ow. When she got in front of Kenneth who currently smirking "This." Kenneth suddenly looked at his feet "Oh s**t!"

"What the fuc*!" "Crap!" I heard the others also cursed. She covered his feet in ice. I can see Stella smirking while Elena laughed.

"Dude! You just got yourself a quest." John said grinning.

"Well, who we have here?" James asked walking towards me. Agh, s**t! Why!?

I slowly turned towards him scratching my neck.

"Ow, it's you!" He exclaimed the moment he saw me. "So, you belong to the genius course..."

"Do you know her James?" Josh asked.

"No, I just saw her last time." He answered. "What's your name miss?"

"Ahm, Kelly." I answered smiling weakly.

"Oh, Kelly. Btw, I'm James." He said extending his hand.

I took it and nodded. But then, a vision popped on my head. ~"I saw them, they're doing something, if it will continue... Students will be in danger." James said to the back of a tall guy who's standing while looking at the window. The guy slowly turned~

"Hey, are you okay?" James asked. Oh s**t! I spaced out.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled. I decided to walked around the room until my eyes caught a broken shellane gas under the burned table. It must have exploded that caused the fire... so I hold a piece of it.

"How did you get here?" I heard Josh asked Elena in curiosity.

Elena played with the strands of her hair. "Ahm, we planned to have our girls bonding at the Wheels Garden and then we saw this Laboratory on fire and ran towards here." She stated, tensed.

"Next time, don't come near any dangerous places." Kenneth stated hardly.

"We have no choice, I can't stop it and I want to help." She said frustration is evident on her voice and walked out followed by Josh. Stella also walked out after rolling her eyes at Kenneth. Owwwkayy...

"So Kel-" James stopped the moment he saw me already on the door walking out of the Laboratory room. I sensed them also walked out.

"Hey! Don't leave me here!" Walking in the hallway I heard Kenneth shouted from the Laboratory.

"It's your fault, you burn the Laboratory. You tried burning the building!" We all stopped the moment we got near the entrance of the building. I sensed the other boys behind me also stopped on their track.

"I-It's not me. I didn't do anything." The girl wearing red gloves stated in fear. Her necktie is white...

"I saw you running away from the Laboratory! Don't you dare lie. You tried to burn it!" The curly blonde girl yelled at her in anger. Her necktie is blue, a fighter.

"No, I didn't do it. I didn't." She's shivering in fear...

I can't hold it much longer... hope it will work. I walked closer towards them.

"It's not her." I stated.

They suddenly looked at me "Tch. Don't you dare cover up. Or you must be her company." The Curly blonde girl said folding her arms on her chest.

"Any pictures of her burning the Laboratory?" I asked ignoring her words.

"No, but my eyes are my witnessed." She answered.

"If I prove that she did not burn the Laboratory are you willing to surrender yourself from telling such lies and be imprisoned in a case of Slander? Your recorded voice is just a perfect evidence." I smiled sweetly looking at my phone.

She gulped so I asked her again "Answer me, are you willing?"

"But her power is fire! She can do it, so she made it!" She defended.

"What's happening here!?" A cold manly voice boomed around the area that made my heartbeat hammered rapidly and send shivers down my spine...
