Chapter 4

BLAKES POV

I didn't want to leave Taylor alone especially when she had just woken up but it was getting harder to keep my wolf from losing control. Id almost lost it when I'd seen the doctor hurt her taking off her dressing, I can't believe I'd scared her. I wasn't thinking, I ran down the two flights of stairs quickly linking Danny "I need to go for run stay close to Taylor". His reply quick and instant "got it" I ran straight out the large doubles and headed straight for the tree line and shifted in to my wolf. We Took off deeper into the forest and just kept running, weaving through the trees and bushes they were all going past in a blur, I could feel myself and my wolf starting to calm so I tuned and headed back I'd already linked Danny "how's Taylor doing" he replayed "She's fine, I think she's sleeping" "alright can you fetch me some sweats to the back of the house". "sure". I'd no idea how long I'd been running for, once I reached the pack house Danny was already waiting for me, he passed me my sweats and I slipped them on "thanks man". "no worries" he paused and looked at me with all seriousness on his face " Iv been looking in to the alpha and Luna of crescent river pack, it all seemed to check out till I dug a little deeper I don't think Calvin is the alphas pup". Confused I asked "why do you think that" " well the Luna was a rouge when she met the alpha but they got married straight away because she was pregnant, but gave birth early, that's not the strange part her hospital notes say the baby was born full term and if there right she wouldn't have even met the alpha by the time she was pregnant". this is just getting more complicated ." do you think you and your dad could try to find out if there was any other rouges she ran with and find any information on her before she joined the pack". "will get right on it" and with that he left. I made my way back to bedroom and opened the door quietly trying not to disturb Taylor, when I entered she was laid on the bed sleeping she'd got a pair of leggings on but they were far too big and she'd got my black hoodie on that engulfed her and her beautiful hair spread out on the pillow her eyes looked red an puffy it's obvious she's been crying, just the thought of her being upset was getting my wolf worked up again, I sat at the end of the bed I just watched her sleep she looked so peaceful.

TAYLORS POV

I woke disoriented from my sleep and sat up finding Blake sat at the end of the bed. he still looked exhausted he really needed to get some sleep, he looked straight into my eyes, I looked back into his. I could lost in them I suddenly felt self-conscious wrapping my arms around my knees. Still in shock that someone like Blake handsome strong the future alpha of the biggest and all the packs in the US is my mate "you left" I wasn't sure If that was a question or a statement I looked in those big dark eyes again I couldn't help myself they looked so full of regret " I'm really sorry about that Taylor. I never meant to scare you that was the last thing I wanted but seeing you in pain makes me and my wolf go all sorts of crazy I just had to let him out for a run and calm us both down please forgive me" I rested my head on my knees " I do forgive you, erm can I ask you something" " of course you can" I picked at the sheets becoming more nervous around him " so it's true that we're mates. how do you feel about it being me". He looked at me a bit taken back by my question "I am glad you are my mate you are so uniquely beautiful and perfect. I'm really happy to have finally met you and would love for you to be Luna and stand by side . That's if you want o to that is I won't push you into anything you don't want". Now he was the one looking nervous " it's all been a lot to take in and it's been a rough few days but I will try. If we can take things slow, I don't want to upset you, I know the mate bond is overwhelming for a wolf but my head is still getting around everything that's happened". He placed his hand on top of mine and gave it a reassuring squeeze " we can take things as slow as you want. I just want you to be happy and safe no matter what". I smiled at him trying my best to trust that he means what he's saying but I suppose in time I will learn to trust again. I changed the topic to something lighter " I hope you don't mind that I borrowed your jumper" he laughed " not at all it looks better on you then it does me, but I think we should go shopping tomorrow and get you some proper clothes that actually fit". I've never been shopping for clothes before I don't think I'd even know where to start Blake must have sensed something was wrong. " hey what's the matter" I shook my head " nothing it's just" I cut myself off feeling embarrassed. "you can tell me anything". I continued "I've never been shopping before, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to pick or what my size is" he smiled at me reassuring me. "don't worry I've already got it covered my sister Ava is back tomorrow she's about your age and she's already agreed to come shopping with us. she will help you, but that's only if you're ok with her coming along she's been so excited to meet you". I relaxed a little at least there would be a girl there. I think I would have been a bit uncomfortable with just Blake helping me pick out clothes " yes that's fine I can't wait now". I really was excited. I just hoped his sister was as nice as the rest of the family. " what would you like to do now it's getting late we could watch some tv if you want" I nodded my head fast I'd never really got a chance to watch tv. My father would never let me watch the tv at home, but I'd heard some of the girls talking about some amazing films and shows, I looked at Blake and he was laughing at me. " I've never seen anyone so excited to watch tv before, what would you like to watch" here came the embarrassment again. " I'm not sure I've never watched tv" he looked shocked "what like never". I shook my head " no worries what about this, my sister watches it and is obsessed it's called supernatural". I nodded I think I've heard one of the girls at school talk about it and it sounded good, Blake switched it on and he looked over at me nervous " do you mind if I lay on the bed with you to watch it, promise it's watching nothing else" I nodded and smiled at him " course you can it's your bed" He came and laid on the large queen size bed "and it's our bed now". I blushed and laid down pulling the satin sheets over me as we both watched the large screen on the wall at the end of the bed.

Not even half way through the first episode I heard a light snoring I turned and looked at Blake he'd already fallen asleep he looked so relaxed for the first time since I'd met him. All the worry anger and concern gone from his perfectly sculptured face, I felt a pang of guilt that I'd been the one to put them there, he sighed and turned throwing his hand round my waist I didn't have the heart to move it I didn't want to risk waking him. He looked so exhausted. I continued watching the programme Blake had put on for me I was hooked I could see what all the girls had been talking about. I think I must of got to the 6th episode when my eyes finally gave in and fell to sleep. When I woke the light was shining brightly through the glass doors. I turned in the bed but Blake wasn't there I realised that I could hear the shower running, I got up off the bed and walked over to the glass doors, I peered out I was right it was balcony and the view from it was breath-taking overlooking over thousands of tress. So calm and peaceful I think this is going to be my favourite place sitting out there just looking at view, I heard the door to the bathroom open and spun around to find Blake stood there with just a towel wrapped around his waist WOW! His body perfectly sculpted hard abs bulging biceps I'm sure I must of been drooling I quickly looked away suddenly feeling embarrassed. I heard him chuckle " I don't mind you looking" oh no he saw me looking "it's all yours babe you can look as much as you want". I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks " ccan I take a shower please". great I'm stuttering now he must think I'm a complete i***t but he just laughed "course you can you don't have to ask this is your room now as well". I quickly ran into the bathroom shutting the door behind I needed to get this blushing thing under control I quickly showered and wrapped a towel round me I realised I not brought any clothes in here with me "Blake" I said through the door " is everything alright Taylor". " I haven't got any clothes to change into" I said in a low voice " it's fine Avas sent some up I can hand them to you through the door I promise not to look". I slowly opened the bathroom door and as promised he stood there with his back to me and his hand over his eyes his free hand was holding out the clothes I quickly grabbed them and locked myself back into the bathroom. "Hey Taylor we can still go shopping today if you are feeling up to it Ava said she would love to come and help you pick some stuff out". I really did need to get myself some clothes but I had no money "erm Blake I have no money." it came out barely a whisper it was so embarrassing I literally had nothing. "don't worry about money babe just get what you want and I will sort the rest". I dried and quickly changed into the black legging that hung loosely and the pastel pink hoodie, god I hate pink I opened the bathroom door to find Blake stood there waiting "I can't expect you pay for my stuff it's not fair". he looked puzzled " Taylor you are my mate whatever you need or want I want to be The one who gets it for you I promised I would look after you and keep you safe and if that means you need clothes then I will get you clothes whatever is mine is now yours as well". I could feel myself blushing again " but I have nothing to give back". "Taylor you are already giving me so much by just been here and saying you would try that means more to me than anything". I had no words so I just nodded to agree with him I only need 1 or 2 outfits and I could always pay him back. "Are you ready to go Avas just messaged me she already at the truck. I will warn you she's very excitable and talks nonstop". I took a deep breath " yeah let's go best not keep her waiting". I was nervous about meeting his sister the girls at my school were cruel always pulling on my hair and would say the meanest of things but I wish I had a girl that was my friend just to talk girl stuff with. I mean I loved Carter but there was just some things I couldn't talk about with him, I miss him so much already he would love it here I'll have to ask Blake if he can come visit. We reached the truck and like he said his sister was really excitable practically jumping up and down on the spot she hopped over to us "oh my god I'm so happy to finally meet you" and she pulled me into a big hug "AVA!" Blake shouted "Taylor's still healing" he said sternly. Ava looked mortified " Taylor I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you". I felt so bad for her she was just trying to be friendly " I'm fine honestly Ava you didn't hurt me". she looked relived " thank god, right shall we go shopping I need some retail therapy". I nodded and we all jumped in the truck. Blake was driving whilst me and Ava chatted "I love your hair Taylor do you dye it that colour" I worried to answer her question no one liked that I'd had lilac hair and purple eyes they were the reason behind my bullying but I answered her truthfully "no I was born with it and my eyes". she looked surprised " no way that's so cool I thought for sure you had contacts in. I bet everyone loved it at your old pack". how could I answer that I was the freak of my old pack it was embarrassing to say it out loud Blake looked at me then put his eyes back on the road I saw his hands tighten on the starring wheel "Ava I told you not to bring her old pack up". She went quiet when she realised what she'd done. I think Blake must have filled her in on what was going on, she really was making an effort to get to know me though, I could really see us being friends even better that she was the same age as me. "I had one friend, Carter well he was my best friend he loved my hair and eyes, he always told me I was one of a kind and he was lucky to be my friend". thinking of Carter made me sad I feel like I've just abandoned him. I stayed quiet the rest of the drive just looking out the window. Blake parked the truck and we jumped out. Blake walked round to my side "hey, you ready to shop". I nodded and he grabbed my hand it amazed me how comfortable I felt with it. walking hand in hand by his side it felt natural as we headed inside the small mall " are we still on the reserve". he looked to me and smiled "yeah we had it built the mall a couple years back". "wow this is amazing" I looked around the mall there must have been about 20 different shops and in the centre there was a food court ". I just need to go see someone will you two be alright and we will meet at the food court in bout an hour". I looked to Ava and she smiled brightly at me then I looked back to Blake "yeah will be fine". Before he let go of my hand he pulled me towards him and kissed me on the cheek "see you soon babe, have fun". I could feel my cheeks blushing as he walked away I could already feel myself falling for him. I turned to Ava "aww you guys are so cute together". I don't think I could get any redder from blushing. " right what kind of clothes do you usually like to wear". " I like comfy I mainly wear sweats and hoodies and leggings if I'm out I sometimes where skinny Jeans". she looked at me and smirked " so nothing to girly then" we both laughed "nah I'm not really a girly type". she linked her arm through mine and we walked into a shop called alexia's I fell In love with the shop straight away. I think I'd wear everything in here she pulled me over to one of the racks there was so much to choose from Ava looked at the baggy legging she had lent me. " right looking at them your probably about two sizes smaller than me" she picked up about about five pairs of black leggings " a girl can never have to many leggings". I smiled at her enthusiasm about shopping we continued to walk around the shop everything I looked at or touched Ava picked up in my size her arms where completely full holding them all, we took them over to cash register to pay "Ava I really don't need this much stuff". "nonsense you need to have plenty of options when it comes to clothing". I just shook my head I think she has a serious problem with shopping. Once we'd paid we headed to the food court to meet with Blake, he was already sat and had food waiting on the table as we sat he placed a gentle kiss on my check " did you girls have fun". Ava excitedly turned to Blake "yes she has everything she needs but could still do with couple more trips to make sure". I laughed " I think your sister has a Serious shopping problem. I've got more than enough there thank you". he smiled at me " no thank you needed and I think your right about Ava". we all started laughing "anyway I got us all burgers and fries hope you like them Taylor if not I can get you something else". "erm I've never had them before" I chewed my bottom lip I'd only ever had scraps and even that wasn't all that often "well something else new for you try. but honestly if you don't like them I can get you something else" I picked up a fry and I loved the greasy crispy sensation. we all fell into easy conversation whilst we ate mainly Ava and Blake taking slight digs at each over I was half way through eating my burger and I felt the urge to throw up I looked to Blake panicked "i think I'm going to be sick" he quickly stood with me wrapping his arm around my waist and rushed us to the nearest restroom practically carrying me. He pushed open the stall door to the toilet letting me go slightly I was vomiting before could tell him leave he held my hair out face and rubbed my back, I'd finally finished vomiting the contents of meal and stood feeling embarrassed that Blake had seen it "I'm sorry you had to see that". his eyebrows knitted together "Taylor you never have to be sorry for been sick and as for me seeing it I'm your mate I want to be here to take care of you especially when you are not feeling well" he always knew the right words to say when I needed them it always made my heart flutter. " hey do you want head back it's been a busy day for you and I'll get the pack doctor to check you over". definitely I needed to shower and brush my teeth after that. It was quiet on the drive back I felt exhausted. I never knew how tiring shopping was once we was back at the pack house Blake told me to go straight up and he would get the bags on my way up to our room. A girl stopped me "hi someone left a package for you it's been put in your room" I nodded at her "thank you" and continued up the stairs once in the room I saw a big box on the table that Blake had been working at. when I got to the box there was a note on it

I got so excited it must be from Carter he knew I was missing him. I quickly opened the box wondering what he could of sent me and pulled out what was inside without looking, I looked down at what was in my hands I felt all the blood drain from my body it was Carter's head his cold glazed ocean blue eyes staring straight back at me. His once beautiful dirty blond hair all matted and coved in blood I screamed out the most blood curdling scream and dropped it to the floor.
