“Doesn't have emotions?” I asked, this time in genuine curiosity.
Klaus sighed.
“Yes.”
He stared at his glass, then gently slid mine towards me.
I remained silent, a gesture for him to continue.
“Three days ago, the wraith gave a general quest to retrieve the newest member of the Morreti family. Jamie was the one who took the quest, but when the boy came back with the new addition, we held a meeting. He was different; he had no fear, nothing of that sort, his expressions remained blank like he was truly a corpse, there was no remorse or emotion in his eyes, even after killing. He had self-control at the very least, but most of the time, I struggled to understand his thoughts.”
