My breaths came in shallow huffs as I ran with every ounce of strength within me.
Was I being chased? I couldn't tell; all I knew was that I needed to get away, I needed to get to a place where the Rosettes wouldn't be able to touch me.
My tears smeared my face in streaks as I ran.
The forest was eerie, the bats were shrieking, and the terrain was rough. I was anxious, scared, and alone.
My sobs echoed through the forest as I wiped my blurry eyes.
"Camille, Camille Camille Camille... I'll kill you, I swear I will kill you, I'll kill you!!!"
Just saying that name was enough to turn my attention away from my anxious self; a burning rage ignited in my chest, threatening to burst out of my throat.
I was suffocated.
