For a dangerous second, Ulric’s vision went red. He blinked and took a step back, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. He felt his claws come out and dig into his palms, but the pain barely registered. His gums itched, and he stopped his fangs from dropping into his mouth by sheer will. Ulric inhaled deeply through his teeth, held it, and then let it out through his nose. It did nothing to calm the rage he felt bubbling in him like an active volcano about to explode.
