Andrea bit back a chuckle. She pressed her lips together and tried her hardest to keep a straight face. The situation didn’t call for humor. At least, she didn’t think the alpha would appreciate it right now.
Thankfully, the throbbing pain in her thigh was enough to distract her from the man scowling while he reached back with his hands to run his fingers over the intricate web of lines now engraved into his skin.
Said skin still looked a little red, but Andrea could already see it was far much better than it had been five minutes ago. Within half an hour, he probably wouldn’t feel it anymore. She guessed he would be happy about that, even though he seemed very pissed about having his skin marred by magic. Luckily, the floating energy webs over the rest of his body had disappeared again
