They had a plan. They would leave the pack tonight and make their way back to the car they had abandoned, hoping it still worked. If it didn’t or if the car had somehow vanished, then they would walk to the highway and hitchhike. That was the plan. It wasn’t great and had so many loopholes. Hell, the odds of success were thin, but it was the best plan Andrea and Kristy came up with. Looking at the time on the wall clock in the kitchen, Andrea’s gut clenched. It was only four in the afternoon. They still had ten hours to wait before they made their move. Kristy insisted that leaving at two in the morning was the ideal time.
