Stop! The word echoed in her head like a distant scream. Andrea knew she needed to stop. She wasn’t in control and had no idea what she was doing. She’d let fear and desperation power her and released everything she had, but now she couldn’t pull back and worse, she couldn’t even lift her head to see what had happened to Ulric.
A choked sob escaped her dry lips. Her throat felt scratchy and sore as though she had been screaming for hours. Maybe she had, she couldn’t tell. Everything was fuzzy.
