The sunlight filtering into his spacious office like mother nature’s gentle caress seemed to mock Ulric, whose mood morphed from shock to anguish to anger in the space of a heartbeat. Deleted Ulric stared at the screen of his laptop as the word blinked once and then the document closed. He blinked slowly, wondering if he was imagining it, but no.
