Keagan pushed Emma off his lap in a hurry at the sight of standing there, he got up buttoning his slack feeling extremely self-conscious.
"It is not what it looks like, I can explain," Kaegan said, taking a step towards her. He hadn't expected to see Emma at his office, he had tried so hard to resist her but his resolve broke immediately she had taken his c**k into her mouth.
"Explain?" Kara laughed without any wits, "Explain what Keagan? The fact you have been f*****g my best friend?" She pointed at Emma.
"I didn't mean to"
"Your d**k fell into her p***y by mistake, is that what you are telling me?"
"No no, I didn't....I am sorry" he sputtered, trying to take hold of her hand.
She stepped back, a tear slipping past her eyes "Don't touch me" she muttered, looking at the floor beneath her. Her whole world was crumbling right in front of her and there was nothing she could do about it.
She became that little girl once more, the girl whom everyone took things from, a girl who couldn't do anything whenever she was hurt. She felt stupid.
She looked back up, directing her stare to Emma. "Was this the reason why you came back home? to wreck my home?"
Emma shook her head continuously, tears streaming down her face "I wanted to help you, you---"
"Help?!!!" screamed, You call this help?"
Picking up the photo frame on the table, she threw it at Emma. "Who are you to help me?" She stepped forward, trying to go around Keagan.
Keagan stood In from of Emma "Calm down, please"
"Can you hear yourself? you are protecting her when I am the one who got hurt?" Her lips trembled looking at the excuse of a man she fell in love with.
"Kara...." Emma spoke up, hiccupping as she peered at her front Keagan's back. "I am sorry, we love each other"
Her ears rang, and she looked from her husband to her best friend, "is that true?" She stared at Keagan "Do you love her?"
His answer was the only thing that could stop her from going insane.
"Yes" he swallowed thickly "I love her"
And lunged, clawing Keagan blindly at anywhere her fingers could reach "You wouldn't do that to me" She screamed "It is not possible"
Keagan pushed her off him as she landed on the floor with her butt, the shredded glass from the picture frame tearing into her palm but that was the least of her problems.
She had lost him, she had lost the only thing she had for herself "Why?" She croaked "Why would you do this to me?" She looked at him from the floor ignoring the pain in her palms, the pain from her heart was worse compared to the blood in her palms.
"You are barren, Kara. You didn't expect me to wait around without an heir" Keagan spoke out his long-hidden thoughts "Me being married to an Omega was already a stain on my white"
She looked at him dumbfounded, hearing him call her barren for the first time made the first squeezing her heart squeeze harder, leaving her unable to breathe "Do you know what this could do to me?" She gasped "You already marked me, you made me tied to you"
"Life with you was boring you made not having children unbearable, you did this to yourself and our marriage"
"Tell her" Emma whispered, catching her attention.
Sighing Keagan spoke "I have decided to have an offspring with Emma"
"While we are still married?" Things kept getting worse for her, she felt like under an ocean trying to swim her way up with her feet tied.
"If you don't agree with us, then we will get a divorce"
'Us' a knife dug deeper into her already wounded heart.
She couldn't lose her identity as Luna and Keagan at the same time "I agree" she muttered weakly, they had left her to drown as the water she felt herself in pulled her deeper and deeper into its embrace.
"You made the right choice" Keagan said sighing, he took Emma's hand in his and pulled her out of the office leaving in an empty office with discarded lunchboxes and a wound she would never heal from.
Kara's hurt face was marred in his mind as he entered the car but he had made the right decision, he needed a child, not a mate that couldn't convince, Emma was the right person to have a child with her bloodline, this would strengthen his pack.
he looked at Emma smiling at him finding it weird that she wasn't bothered about hurting her so-called best friend.
"What?" She asked
"How come you are not affected by this?" Keagan asked confusion etched on his face.
"Me being affected isn't going to solve a thing, you cheated on your wife not me." she scoffed.
The drastic change in her tone has him pausing for a while "You came into my office and climbed into my lap, we are both at fault"
She looked down at her lap playing with her fingers, "My best friend had tried to hurt me, I am still terrified. I honestly didn't mean to fall in love with you"
He embraced her in his arms. Her arms going around him also "I know" he muttered.
He couldn't be openly seen with Emma, everyone knew was their Luna. He would have to do something about it.
Coming out of the car, the familiar car of his father greeted him, which meant he must have been back from his business trip.
They both walked into the house, they met the Alpha of the Thunder pack seated in the sitting room–Keagan was only an acting Alpha since his father had been gone, and his inheritance was still in process.
"Hello Father" Keagan greeted "Welcome home"
"Thank you, Keagan, where is your mate?" He looked at Emma standing beside his son in confusion.
He opened his mouth to respond before Emma beat him to it "Hello sir, I am Emma Alpha Benjamin of moon pack daughter"
Nodding his head in approval, he looked back at Keagan "You made the right choice leaving that Omega"
"What?" Kara's strangled voice tore through the room.
His molars grinded together "What is going on here?"
