Chapter 6: Change

I wonder when he will come to. Who is this wolf? Why is he here? As I wait for Alpha Ty to come back down I explore the cellar. I have never been down here, it's off limits to everyone but Alpha Ty and those he chooses. I wander over to the table I passed and suck in a breath as I see what's on it. A blow torch, a bucket, pliers, a drill, various knives, chizels, a hammer, gardening shears, towels and more. I inhale deeply and catch something mixed with the scent of the rogue. Someone elses blood. I follow the scent to some barrels under the stairs. I hear footsteps above me, human footsteps. I walk out from under the stairs and fill with unexplainable rage at who I see. "Randy?! What the f**k are you doing? Noone is supposed to be down here!" Tanga whimpers. He is our mate, we need him. No, we need Alpha Ty. Randy looks pissed. "I smelled you with another male when you came in, why aren't you at the ceremony?" His eyes were fixed on mine, concern visible on his face. "Something came up, Alpha Ty will be here any second and you can't be here." "Who is that?" He motioned to the trespasser whom was beginning to stir, I can hear his skin sizzling against the silver restraints. "Noone knows yet, seriously Randy, you can't be here! I will explain everything but I need you to trust me!" I pushed him up to the steps until his calves were against the bottom most one. I have no idea how Alpha Ty will react to Randy being down here and I am not trying to find out. "Fine! You owe me an explanation later." He hands me a card and turns to bolt up the steps. I shove the card in the side of my dress so it's stuck against my skin and fabric. I roam back over to the trespasser as his eyes shoot open and he screams in pain. "Don't fight the restraints, it will just hurt more." Bellows a voice from uptop the stairs. Alpha. "T, has our unwanted visitor shared his identity yet?" Alpha Ty asks, descending the steps and standing next to me. I bow slightly before meeting his gaze. He hasn't called me T since I was a pup. Since before that night. "No, Alpha. He only just woke." I respond as he sniffs the air, no doubt recognizing Randy's scent. "T, I don't want anyone to know he is here until we get all the necessary information from him." His eyes graze over the trespasser with a menacing look. He put on some blue jeans and a muscle shirt, as if he has some work to do. "As my Omega I have trusted you with important tasks in the past. I have the feeling he is somehow connected to Carlos and what happened the night his pathetic gang killed your parents. This will be one of the most important things I ever ask you to do for me." He turns to place his hand on my shoulder, his eyes flash red as his wolf sends me a mental link. Tanga, extract any information you can and kill him. It's time to send a message. Yes, Alpha. "Trina, I know you can do it. Tomorrow we shift, we will use that time wisely. Be dressed and ready to run by sunrise. Meet Amelia and I at the old shed." I bowed and with that, Alpha Ty turned and walked back upstairs. I looked at the now alert trespasser, he's staring at me with bright green eyes. "We know nothing! I swear to you Omega." He bowed his head, obviously trying to get on my goodside already. Let me Trina. Yeah, Tanga, what did you get us into? We are destined to be Alpha's messenger. His messenger? DON'T QUESTION ALPHA! OBEY OR I SHALL! "What's your name?!" I growl through gritted teeth. His eyes turn back to a foggy green and widen in fright. He sizes me up for a second before tilting his head back in submission. "Teo." He wimpers. I walk to the edge of the holding cell, holding my head up high with square shoulders. My ankle length, black and white sundress swooshing at my ankles with every step. "Sir name and pack?!" My eyes flash red as Tanga tries to surface. He thrusts himself back like I slapped him. This might be easier than I thought. "Tamero of the Slayer's Den Pack." He wispers through chattering teeth. Slayer's Den? Never heard of them. "Who is your alpha?!" I step inside the cage, staring daggers down at him. "Car-" I grab him by his throat, knowing damn well the name he was about to mutter. Tio Tamero is now sputtering, drooling and attempting to gasp against my grip. I can feel Tanga wagging her tail in excitement, enjoying every moment. "Where is he?!" I roar in his face, my eyes flashing read with threat of Tanga. "Edge...of state.... North..." I release his throat and punch him hard in the jaw knocking him out. I need a breather and I can't breath down here. I shouldn't leave him alone. I decide to send a mental link to Alpha Ty. "Carlos, so called Alpha of Slayer's Den Pack at the Northern State Boarder." He replies instantly "Get an address." Great now I gotta wake him back up. I walk over to the table and grab the bucket. There's an old well tap on the far side of the cellar, I fill the bucket with cold water and dump it on Tio. He wakes with a gasp and begins to shiver. "Address, NOW!" My eyes flash red and he whimpers but remains silent. s**t. I walk closer to him and grab his pinky finger, my flesh sizzles as it grazes the silver chair. "No! No!" He begs, his green eyes wide with fear. "The address?!" He remains silent, I yank his finger back making it snap like a toothpick. He grunts, his eyes shut as he takes the pain. I grab his ring and middle finger. "Give me the address of the Slayer's Den pack!" He keeps his eyes shut, remaining silent. "Have it your way." I snap his fingers back just as easy as the first. He grunts but still remains silent. Get creative. "I can do this all day." I walk out of the holding cell over to the table with tools. "Questions is, how long can you?" I pick up the ball hammer and walk back over to him, winging it around in a circle. He opens his eyes, watching the hammer spin. "Please, I have a family." He whispers. My eyes flash red as Tanga snarls. I get in his face and press the hammer against the top of his thigh by the head, leaning my body weight on it. "Once upon a time, I had a family." I bring the hammer back up and smash it into the side of his knee. He yells in pain and convulses against his restraints. "Then, a weakling named Carlos decided he was going to take them from me!"I smash the hammer on the same knee in the same spot. He screams "Stop!" "An address?!" I place the hammer on the inside of his other knee. He remains silent so I hit it with all my might, hearing his joint crack and dislocate, most likely shattering. He has tears rolling down his eyes, realizing his fait. "If I tell you he will have me killed." "If you don't, I will kill you!" I smash his unbroken hand and can hear the hammer bounce off the silver chair as if his hand wasn't even there. His screams echoe in the small cellar. "223! 223! Please stop!" "223 what?!" "223 Tick Rd, North of here. It's an old abandoned wearhouse that has been turned into the packhouse!" "See? That wasn't so hard, was it?" I smile at him as Tanga wags her tail in approval. He gives a small smile and weakly says "So you'll-" SMASH! I bash his right temple with the hammer, knowing I killed him by the cracking of his skull. His body twitches as his brain is still comprehending what just happened to itself. I pull my cell phone out of my bra. 223 Tick Road, North. He's done. I send to Alpha Ty in a text. He replies "Old shed @ sunrise." I stuff my phone back in my bra and notice I'm covered in blood droplets. I need to clean up, find Randy and prepare for my first shift. I head straight to the Omega showers and take a much needed, scalding hot shower. I emerge and look at myself in the mirror. I missed graduation. Although I miss my mate already, I am not looking forward to reliving todays events. We followed Alpha's obeys, as all pack should. I'm barely an omega! I'm supposed to support the pack's day to day living, not pack-leader duties! I want to kill Carlos with my bare hands, not innocents. We followed Alpha's obeys...and have located Carlos. We found him, Alpha Ty should report it to the elders first. My eyes flash red at me as Tanga becomes agitated. Trina, he has been sentenced to death by the elders. They want his head. She's right. One day at a time though, Tanga. I throw a towel around me, my hair still damp. I slip onto my slippers and go to my room. I can smell Randy as if he were standing next to me, Tanga growls for him. I open the door and he'sitting on the bed. His black hair is damp with sweat and I can sense his angry vibe. His black sabbath teeshirt is stretched taught against his rippling chest and his black sweatpants are leaving little to the imagination. my belly quivers at the sight of him. is that a tattoo under his right shirt sleeve? "He's one of Carlos' isn't he?!" He growls from across the room. My eyebrows shoot up as I gjve him a tight smile and walk to my closet. "You already knew, didn't you?" "His scent was familiar, I recognized it from when I was tracking them. My question is, why did Alpha Ty have you down there with him?" He stands and walks up behind me as I'm rummaging through my clothes for some pajamas. "I was the one that found him trespassing on my way to the school. I alerted Alpha Ty and stopped him from killing him on the spot." I have some sweatpants and a tank top in my hands as I walk to the bed. "Why didn't you let him die?! His whole group needs to be destroyed, they are a disgrace to our kind!" His temper is flaring and I just want to sleep. "We need to find Carlos, not kill the only one who knows where he is." I grab some underwear out of my dresser and put them on. "Who was he?" Randy walks back over to the bed and grabs a pillow, setting it on his lap as he sits down. I can smell his arousal and feel his eyes burning holes in me as I continue to dress. "His name was Tio. He said they consider Carlos Alpha to their new pack, Slayers Den-" "Was?" he intterupts. Welp, guess I'm telling him everything. I sit next to him and explain my evening and watch his face go from curious to relieved before ending on proud. "You know, what you did should've fallen to Alpha or Beta, not you as Omega." I chuckle soflty, I never even really considered myself an actual title. "I just do whatever Alpha Ty deems as necessary for the interest of our pack. If Alpha Ty wants to entrust me with heavier duties then that's the burden I must carry." "So you're just going to blindly follow his orders?" Randy grabs my hand in both if his to hold against his chest. "Just whatever happens from here, please don't change who you are. You are strong, there is no questioning that, but we are still leaving together, right?" His eyes are pleading with me for a promise that I no longer know of I can make. This may be the only cjance I get to make things right. I look him deep in his eyes, knowing the change has already happened. I'm a murderer. A killer. How can I have a life outside of that? Noticing my hesitation he adds "I know things are going to be different, we are mates now and we have eachother to think about. I am jusy worried what this could do to you Trina." He has every right to be concerned, hell, I'm concerned. How can this not change me? We need to find Carlos and put an end to this. He needs to die so noone else will.
