After what seemed like hours, the queen stepped out of the woods first, followed by her pets. Christopher had taken off his coat, and he and Anthony stood in front of the young women at the far side of the clearing; the fairies floated behind Snow White and Aurora, and the horses stood in the shadows of the trees. The queen’s eyes glinted in pleasure as she saw Anthony. Her eyes flickered slightly at the sight of Christopher but that was replaced quickly with a look of dismissal. She uttered something in a foreign tongue, and the wolves moved forward, transforming as they turned into wolf-men. They were not so tall or as big as Christopher, but their red eyes were unnerving, and there were three of them.
