The milk mess

CHAPTER 3

It was chilly , as the wind blowed the whistling pine around the orphanage .

Nyre lazily got up from her bed looking really exhausted , that was because she had slept late due to the assignment she had to get done . She knelt beside her bed saying her morning prayers and then carried out her normal morning routine .

After her bath , Nyre got dressed for school and packed her hair lazily in a messy bun , it made her look cute accentuating her full cheeks .

She rushed to the dinning table as she picked two packs of bread sandwich and yoghurt in her back pack , she did not seat to eat as she was already pretty late for class.

She walked quickly to the bus stop amd waited for her school bus to pull over , almost immediately the bus arrived and she rushed inside the bus , the bus took off immediately and drove off .

Nyre' pOV

I was pretty worn out from yesterday , and i yawned lazily as highlighted the school bus . The assignment from the physics class was a bit tough and it took me a long time to solve the questions .

I walked to the class through our sleek hallways , with different students hanging around . I kept my head low as i walked to my class , i think i preffered been invisible .

On getting to the class i noticed a guy occupying the seat beside my seat , i was suprised as it was empty yesterday which was why i choosed the seat , i was not too happy about it i silently hoped for a calm seat mate .

I drew out my chair and placed my bag on a table , i adjusted my seat and he glanced at me with a questioning look .

"Good morning , this is my seat "i said Intimidatingly.

Well that did not come out as expected , it felt more like a whisper .

He broke into a smile saying "ohhh the new student , i am darien by the way "

I am nyre" i replied with a stoic expression

He looked at my back pack closely looking at my face again " you bumped into me yesterday he exclaimed in realization "

"So it was you , i am sorry i was in a rush to the bus park , i did not mean to do that " i replied a bit apologetically .

He continued with whatever he was doing .

I smiled a bit , i was glad i had conversation with someone in school , i guess he wont be bad as a seatmate

I glanced a his book to check what he was doing , and he was busy with the physic assignment , i smiled as i continued peering to what he was doing , i expected the assignnent to give him a tough time , but he seemed to be doing the assignment easily and correctly .

I was suprised , he felt my stare and and asked " why are you looking at me like that "

" Well you seem like a genius , i had a hard time doing the assignment yesterday night " i replied

"You werent in class yesterday too , how are you able to solve it " i added my expression lacing suprise.

" I am a genius as you said " he bragged

"And so am i " i retorted

The assignment is not as hard , you just have to .....

He continued speaking as i listened attentively till the teacher came into the class .

The class was interesting as darien kept making funny faces at me , i was glad i had a seat mate , he was also a nice guy .

After the classes at lunch break , i placed my bag on my table and took out my sand wich and yoghurt. Darien tapped me and asked if i was interested in walking to the cafeteria. I answered no , as i was already eating ,

Darien nodded and left for the cafeteria . After eating , i placed my head on the table and tried to get a quick nap , almost immediately i felt footsteps approaching me .

I raised my head up to meet rihanna's furious gaze , she looked like an angry wolf mate ready to devour someone , her cliques : sanddy and moore did not look better either. They looked at me the same way , almost disdainfully .

"You seem to have made new friends on school Nyre " rihhana said .

I did not give any reply

"it is because darien is always nice to everybody , dont get too comfortable , remember you dont fit in this class"

"i guess you dont even know who darien is . It seems like you are mute too"

Saddy moved closer to my seat and emptied my yoghurt in to my hair , i was speechless and was caught offguard at her action , we never had issues before and i infact have not spoken to her to .

And she said " Dont talk to darien anymore , i like him and i dont want a filthy pauper near him . Okay ??"

I was soo intimidated and just nodded my head quickly , i rushed to restroom with yoghurt dripping from my head. As i heard their resounding laughter .

Thankfully no one was in the school restroom . it looked luxorious , with a bathroom and lot of toilet , thankfully there was shampoo in the toilet , i washed my hair and use the hair handdryer to blow dry my hair and pack it back in a bun .

I sat at the toilet seat devastated , i never expected that to happen , it had never happened to me before either. I was suprised and to say the least shocked at her action . I thought i would be able to stand up for my self it something like this ever happened , but it was more scary than i had imagined , i was utterly Intimidated to the point of nervousness.

I sighed as i hoped this was not going to repeat itself again , i exhaled and walked back swiftly to the class as the hallway was empty and the lunch break seemed to be over .

I walked into the class , and thankfully the teacher did not ask where i went to , i walked quickly to my seat , and sighted rihanna , who gave me a jesting look.

" Where were you ? " darien asked i did not know if i should be angry at him , he was partially the cause of the incident.

i shrugged the thoughts off and i wore a little smile .

" The restroom" I answered and he mouthed an ohhh

The class went smoothly , i remained moody through out the class , i guess , darien noticed my mood and did not make any comment , or try to talk to me during the class.

School was over and i packed my books quickly , i did not want to have to face rihanna again today . I walked to the bus park slowly reminiscing what had happened at the lunch break .

I entered in to the school bus , with my thoughts clouded as i sighed continously .

The bus parked at my busstop and i highlighted and walked to the orphanage .

I met my siblings gardening in the front of the orphanage , i smiled at the as my baby roomate walked up to me and collected my bag . I smiled at her .

I greeted mummy Faith , and she asked how the school was going , i was tempted to tell her what had happen today , but i gave it a second thought .

I should be able to take of myself. What could she even do anyways , it was just some bunch of teenagers playing around .
