CHAPTER 9

SIYA'S POV

We went to KFC to eat our lunch, I was happy to see her eating and talking like before the Zola thing. She looked so beautiful smilling and laughing at her own stupid jokes. After lunch we headed to the cinema to watch the movie all the women have been going crazy about Acrimony. When we got there I saw one of my father's men was there watching our every move. I saw Ace one of my men heading to the passage that leads to the toilets. I gave Avela the card to choose the movie and told her what I wanted to drink anything else was up to her.

I got to the toilet and got in to talk to Ace, I didn't have to check if the was someone in there because I knew Ace already did.

"Your father increased the eyes on you, Avela and her parents. The two men I never saw before and something else there is someone else keeping an eye on Avela and his not one of your father's men. I thought he was watching you but I saw him taking pictures of her the most and also her mother is being followed. Do you think its one of her stepfather's old friends?" Ace gave me the information that got me on alert. I just left her out the with my father's men watching and now I hear there are others watching. " Tell the guys to keep a close eye on everyone and watever happens Avela take priority". We finished talking and I made my way to Avela, I found her talking to my father's man laughing. I rushed over and stood next to her with my arm on her shoulder. "This is Lax he wants to buy a ticket for a good movie for him and his wife she is late, I told him what we watching and what it's about and some of the movies that I like" she said looking at the movie board while me and Lax eyed each other. He always saw me as weak because most of the time when my father beats me he is there watching. I can't wait to see him when I slide the carpet under him and my father's feet without them suspecting me. My group has grown I just need my father's money to expand and make him retire for good.

Lax left us and we went to buy popcorn then went to watch the movie. I didn't care what we watched as long as she was by my side and happy.

I was busy watching Avela that I missed part of the movie until I heard the whispers of the women around. They were angry talking about the men messing up the woman's life and living her baren and broke for a new a$$. And how the woman was entitled to half of the money he made from selling his machine.

Even after the movie the talk went on and on even Avela kept talking about it. Unlike other men I saw bored of the women's discussion I was happy to have her back to her usual self. I could listen to her all day.

"I can't believe the nerve of that guy, after everything she has done for him and putting up with his broke a$$. She can't even have kids because of his cheating a$$ not to mention the debt". She kept on till we got in the car.

When we got home I was busy packing, knowing my father I'll be punished for not telling him about Avela's stepfather. "Do you think I'll ever find someone who would want me after the video scandal? What I mean is do you think I'll have someone who will love me and not hide me" she asked looking down. I pulled her in my arms and said "the video doesn't define who you are, it's just a lesson in your life. We all make mistakes in life that part of growing up". I wanted so much to kiss her and show her that I was that person she was hoping for but I knew she wasn't ready yet. It was late to cook so we had snack and watch Bollywood her favourite channel and headed for bed. I didn't have to get close to her she came to my embrace willingly and we slept.

I woke up early to my phone ringing and I saw the caller ID was my father. "Do you want me to drag you out of that b**ches house or are coming out by yourself?". No hello or how are you nothing. I answered " I'll be the in an hour am getting ready now". He said " I'll give you 20 minutes to get ready and in the car". He dropped the phoe and a message popped up it was Ace I ready 'you father outside with three more cars around the corner'. s**t there's no way to get Avela out without being seen by them. I'm going to down play my fillings for her infront of them and hope it gives me time to get my plans in place. I woke Avela up to tell her am living and asked her to get ready my friend was coming to take her to salon. Anything to get her dressed just incase those men get in the house and see her in her bum out pj's. That a$$ was for my eyes only. She got ready and wanted to walk me out but I told her no need. When I got out the house to go to my car, my father called me over his. I packed my small bag in the back and got in the car. As soon as I sat my father elbowed me up my nose " Are you done f*****g around now? With all the p*****s you chose the most dirty, why not that Owami girl". My nose bled but I didn't care because soon I'll make him regret all his ever done to me when I take everything from him. When I looked in the review mirror I saw his men coming out of Avela's house without her and my heart skipped a beat and my breath hitched. I can only pray Ace found a way to get her away in time because if something happens to her I'll paint the town red.
