CHAPTER EIGHTEEN LIZZIE SIGHED AS SHE pulled off the latex gloves and nodded to the coroner’s transport staff to proceed with loading up the body. It was the second young woman whose death scene she’d been assigned in as many days. Although other items scattered nearby indicated accidental overdose, something just didn’t sit right with Lizzie. The scene, including the body itself, was almost pristine, and in her experience overdoses rarely were. Someone went to a lot of trouble to make it look like she accidentally took too much, she thought. Someone who obviously had no idea what it should look like.
