LIZZIE WAS STILL SMILING when she reached her car in the airport’s parking garage. She and Donny had spent a while talking after the meal, then returned to the house for their bags and headed to the airport. They’d gone to the ticket counter to check their bags and get their boarding passes, then wound their way through security. By one-thirty, they’d found two seats just outside the gate for Lizzie’s flight to Seattle.
