DONNY AND LIZZIE BEGAN their proper date by taking a taxi into downtown Fort Worth. After a bit of discussion, they opted for the rooftop ambiance of Reata for their midday meal.
“I’d heard of this place, but I’ve never been here,” she said.
“Neither have I, but I always wanted to try it,” Donny confirmed. “And today seemed like the perfect day. After all, I have great company to share it with.”
Within a few minutes they’d been seated at a cozy little table in the corner of the grotto on the building’s roof. The location offered an ideal view of a spectacular rock waterfall not far from their table. They took a moment to admire it and the soft carpeting of ivy that adorned the brick wall adjacent to it, as well as the terrific view of other buildings around them.
