Xyrra’s POV

I wake up to an angry Lance. It was starting to get the best of me… I greet him and leave to make breakfast. Within a jiffy, I’m done and take it up to him in the room. He yells at me, saying he hasn’t even brushed and I’m bringing him morning food.

I dolly my eyes. I’ve been putting up with his actions for a while. I could feel it….those feelings were coming. He’s nice, I realized. I leave to work on certain projects in my office.

I arrive at the office 1 hour later and the he calls.

“Hey babe”. He says.

“Hey, Mr arrogant” . I say smirking.

“What would you love to have when you return?” He asks.

“Really? Just pizza and you”. I say.

It’s a very big surprise that I later fell in love with Mr. arrogant.

“Sure thing Missy”. He says.

“Alright babe, have fun” . I say and end the call. “Felix, do I have any meetings scheduled for today?” I ask.

“Yes ma’am. Uh…you have a meeting with the board of directors by 12 noon”. He says.

“Okay. Get me the report…. I’ll be waiting”. I say to him.

“Okay ma’am. On it”. He says and walks away.

I start working on the outgoing project. I realized we’ve made a lot of sales and the company’s bouncing back to life. It made me happy. I take a sip of my coffee before exiting the building.

I arrive at the board meeting 2 minutes late.

“Ms Ming, lateness isn’t one of our qualities. I must admit, your company is topping charts and never ceases to amaze me. Your commercial’s very brilliant, I see you put your all to it. Enlighten us more on your project please?” Aysle the leader says.

“Thanks ma’am, for the compliment. Okay, so Xycon commercial is all about fashion. We’re bringing the best of fashion tips and styles to you guys. We have really juicy and exclusive offers….I and my team workers are working really hard to make sure we bring Xycon to line light of fame and wealth. Xycon….be the change”. I say.

“Mmhmm”. Aysle clears her throat. “We shall meet next time”. She says and with that we conclude the meeting.

I’m back at my office I hour later. Everything seems to be going fine. I do some finishing touches on my work before leaving. There’s a very long and tiring traffic, I get caught up in hold up for an hour. I branch to get chocolates and candies for little Roxie, whom I’ve grown too fond of like she’s more like a daughter to me. She’s grown to like me as well.

The traffic reduces and I’m just 30 inutes drive away from home.

I arrive at my house at exactly 8:58pm. He was already asleep but Roxie was up. She ran towards me with out stretched arms. I hug her and give her the chocolates. I follow her to her bedroom, tuck her in bed. I let her have just two bars of chocolates while I put the rest in the fridge.

I sing her lullabies and tell her bedtime stories. I stare at her in her sleep. She’s sooo cute. The Ashburys appear to be cute.

I walk out of the room, fix myself a cup of coffee after which I fry pancakes. I hurriedly eat so I could rush off to bed.

I shower, get dressed. Settle and grab my box of pizza. Munching on the first slice and uh….it’s very sweet.

I cover the box and the remaining as my eyes were starting to give up on me.

I roll the sheets aside and climb into the bed, facing the other side of the room. I turn off the lights, say my prayers and shut my eyes tight till I fall asleep.

Lance’s POV

I wake up to a sleeping beauty. She’s very cute and she’s free with everyone. I was very happy when I saw a big smile on Roxie’s face. It made me even happier. I gently tap Xyrra and she wakes up…

“Honey, you’re up?!” She asks.

“Yeah, how are you feeling?” I ask .

“Fime. Thanks a whole lot wifey”. He says and I raise a brow at him.

“You changed me and brought zilss or both my lips and Roxie’s”. He says.

“Its nothing”. I say. I kiss him before leaving the room.

“Rox! Roxie…” I call out.

I search her room but she’s not there, I search all the rooms, the entire house. I see her, all alone sitting in the garden with her bear.

“Hey little one, wanna talk?” I ask and she nods briefly. We get on talking about school and some other important stuffs.

She says that she loves me a whole lot. I run off to get her my gift to her.

“Yayyy! A dress. I love red” . She says.

I got her a pink floral gown with pink bowties.

“I want to get ice cream, mummy”. She says.

“Okay now honey. Go get dressed”. I say. “And honey, I’m not your biological mom”. I say.

She comes out a minute later in her blue pants and blue top…she looked gorgeous in that.

We leave to get ice cream.

Lance’s POV

Seeing her around and seeing Roxy smile even made me less of a grumpy person. I call Leila and apologize to her, thank her and raise her salary by a $100,000.

I was happy to see life come back to Roxy.

She returns with Roxy holding a very big bucket of ice cream..all for her.

“Hey honey..” I say to Roxie carrying her up. I place a kiss on her cheeks.

“Hey baby”. I say to Xyrra, she replies. “Baby, my commercials are doing really well, it’s making huge sakes like I thought”. She says.

“Yeah, I received the report yesterday….so, I got you a little something”. I say and dip my hand in my pocket. I take out a gold bangle and hand it to her. She says thank you and puts it on.

“I love it honey”. She says and walks away.
