I hadn’t slept, it had been the worst night going over and over what had happened in my mind. “Morning sweetie.” My Dad smiled coming down the stairs. “You slept upstairs last night, how was it?” I couldn’t help but smile back. “I got to wake up beside your Mum, so it was amazing.” I rolled my eyes at his cheesiness as he went to boil the kettle. “Where is Mum?” I frowned. “Still sleeping, I managed to sneak out without waking her. She needs rest. I’m going to make her some breakfast in bed.” He went about getting what he needed for a fry up.
