Episode No 11: Heart Laments

It was 9 a.m. in the morning, Mrs.Marvel set aside the curtains, the rays of sun passed from the middle of the room, directly on Aenna's face, the dazzling yellowish orange rays hit her eyes, she opened her eyes and took her phone. The first thing to be noticed on the screen was "40 missed calls by Albert". Aenna swaped right to unlock her phone, she ignored all the calls and messages received by Alberts' number, because she was afraid that her heart might become soft for him after reading his texts.

She wore her slippers and rushed towards the powder room, after being frehshen up, she stood in front of the long mirror, she made a high pony, put some strawberry tint on her cheeks and lips.She wore her long coat shoes, a tie on her college shirt, she ran towards the corner of the room, she fixed the books in her bag. Aenna in a hurry came out of the room, she wore her backpack.

Aenna took one toasted slice with jam on it, and described briefly that she is getting late for her physics class, and today is the most important lecture.

Mrs.Marvel said goodbye to her.

Aenna reached college a little late, she begged the guard to open the gate for her at least the last time, she will be on time, next time.Guard opened the door for her. Aenna walked quickly inside the corridor towards her class, Aenna enterred the class, Professor Grodge was standing behind the dyce. He asked Aenna that why she is late.

Aenna in confusion said: Actually Sir , my eyes opened up a little late.

The whole class laughed at Aenna's excuse.

Professor Grodge let Aenna came inside by saying that "at least she is honest in giving her excuse."

Aenna sat with Lila and Julia in the third row. Professor Grodge gave a detailed lecture on "Maxwell's Law of Distribution."

Lilla and Julia planned to go out after the class and asked Aenna to join them. Aenna first denied but later on agreed. They decided a lunch in the nearby restaurant. They walked towards the restaurant as it was few steps away from the college.

Lila asked Aenna, what she wants to order, Aenna was in another world, mentally. She didn't replied. Julia poked her , "Aenna, she is talking to you."

Aenna: "Me", what you asked?

Lila: Aenna, what's wrong with you, I have noticed, you are a little upset.

Julia: Aenna, you can share with us.

Aenna remained silent.

Lila again asked her: Aenna, you can tell us.

Aenna: Actually, I didn't sleep well at night. That's why.

Julia: Thank God! Then, let's order the food.

Julia called the waiter and asked him to bring cheese balls, macrons, dumplings, rice and steaks. As, the waiter served them, they just took a few bites, suddenly Aenna saw Jack. Aenna hid her face with the menu card. Lila asked her why she is doing awkward movements. Aenna tried her best to hide her face but Julia snatched the menu card and asked her to focus on her food. Aenna hesitantly started eating. After having her food, Aenna asked her friends that I need to go home. When Aenna stood up, Jack noticed her, he started following Aenna, Aenna walked towards the college where her car was parked. Jack went outside and asked Aenna that he could drop her. Aenna didn't sat in his car and keep on walking. She reached the college gate. She get inside her own car and ignored Jack. Jack felt a sense of great insult as Aenna ignored him. Jack punched the steering in anger.

Aena arrived home, Albert was standing at one side of the road, he called Aenna, she didn't picked his call. Albert walked towards the main gate, as Aenna came out of the car, Albert said to her:

" What happened? Aenna, why are you ignoring me?

Aenna remained silent and tried to walk inside the gate, but Albert grabbed her hand in anger.

Albert: First, answer my question, otherwise I will not let you go inside.

Aenna: I'm not your personal property. Leave my hand.

Albert: "Why are you doing this? Didn't you confessed your feelings, now why you are playing games with me?What you think of me " a clown", he gave Aenna's hand a jerk in anger. I am letting you go inside but remember I need answer, tonight. I will call you, if you will not pick my call, then I will take you with me from your home. What I say, I just do it."

Aenna went inside, her forehead was sweating. She throws her bag on the side sofa and stepped inside the powder room, she sprinkled fistful of water on her face again and again.

Aenna opened her phone, a message was there by Mrs.Marvel,I will arrive late at home, your aunt is ill, I have to take care of her.

Aenna took a long breathe that she got some time to sit and think, what she had to do next, as she promised her mother that she will remain obedient. She opened the fridge, took the water bottle, she drank almost half bottle, to decline her anxiety. She sat on the white sofa that was placed in the lounge, due tiredness Aenna fell asleep. Aenna woke up as the phone rang. Aenna's heartbeat increased after seeing Albert's call. Aenna herself thought, Oh God! What should I do? On oneside is my mother's promise and on the other side confessions I did in front of Albert.

Aenna picked the call but didn't speak a single word.

Albert started the conversation in a gentle tone: Are you alright?

Aenna replied: Yes

Albert: Aenna, I am sweetly asking you, why are you doing all this.

Aenna: Because I have promised to my mother that I will never break her trust.

The day we met, she get to know that I am hanging out with you,so; she took a promise.

Albert: Aenna, you didn't tell your mother that we love each other.

Aenna: "Albert, my mother gave me a lecture that love doesn't exist, rich boys use middle class girls to pass their time."

Albert after these words became furious: "Aenna, now you are disrespecting our feelings for each other."

Aenna: Albert, this is my whole answer, you asked for.

Albert said fine and dropped the call.
