Abducted

~ Chapter 11 ~

The next couple weeks passed by quickly considering I was grounded, and my parents were watching Ben and I like hawks, making sure we did not sneak out of the house again. My sneaking out had earned me an extra week of being grounded. I had another week to go before I was free again. I was using all the time I spent in my room to do as much research as I could on my growing list of questions. I was not finding a lot. The information I have been able to find all contradicts what is happening. The information does however match the notes I took growing up in our werewolf classes on the weekends. I have been combing through all my notebooks for weeks.

Although I know the information in my notes well, re-reading through them, I understand them better now that I am older. Some of it never made much sense when I was younger.

A destined mate bond is unlike any other relationship a werewolf will experience. The level of connection between the mated pair is not able to be fully and accurately described to one who has not experienced it firsthand. Once the mating process has been completed, the two souls of the pair become intertwined as one and can no longer survive alone for an extended period without physical pain. For this reason, when one werewolf in a mated pair die, the other will usually end up becoming a rogue unless they are able to find a way to fight through the pain. This is sometimes possible when the pair has young children.

The Mating Process

When a werewolf sees their mate in person for the first time, they will be physically drawn to them. This draw is very powerful and will often times lead them to make physical contact almost immediately. Once they make eye contact, they will know for sure that they have found their mate. To complete the mating process, the pair must complete three steps in the following order:

1. Consummate their new relationship physically.

2. The male wolf must mark the female wolf’s neck during the height of orgasm. The female wolf must then reciprocate. This will cause the male wolf’s p***s to enlarge in size and become wedged inside the female wolf’s v****a for a period of time, typically lasting between 30-60 minutes.

3. The mated pair must shift into their wolves and their wolves must physically mate.

These steps do not need to happen immediately or right after one another. In the rare instance where the female wolf is a younger age, mated pairs will often wait years before completing any of the steps.

IMPORTANT – During step two when the male wolf becomes wedged in the female wolf, this only happens during the mating process. It is extremely rare for it to happen again in the future, but it is known to happen on occasion.

Once these three steps have been completed, the mate bond will fully snap into place. Three separate private mind links will be initiated between the pair.

1. Between the human parts of the mated pair.

2. Between the wolves of the mated pair.

3. Between all four voices.

Each link is able to be accessed while in either human or wolf form.

Wolves are able to take over their human counterpart’s body. When in control, they will be able to speak with their own voice and see with their own eyes. Most of the time, the human and wolf do this consciously and are aware that it is happening. However, during times of emotional distress (anger, pain, happiness, etc), a wolf may come out. This will most often be evident in the eyes.

When a wolf is in control of their human’s body, the human will not know what has transpired between their wolf and anyone they encountered.

Monday morning went smoothly for a Monday. Then lunchtime came around. Alexis was a mess. She was jumpy and constantly fidgeting. She looked like she had not slept the night before. I know she had not been sleeping well for weeks now. The dark circles under her eyes were evidence of that.

I sat down beside her at the lunch table, and she jumped.

“Hey, it’s just me. All good.” I reacted.

“Sorry.” Alexis mumbled and buried her head in her arms on the table. No one else had arrived yet. I took the opportunity to try and talk to her.

“You ok? You look like you didn’t sleep last night.” I asked.

“I didn’t. I haven’t slept since Thursday. Onyx is on high alert and constantly pacing. I think something is about to happen.” Alexis answered, the sound muffled through her arms.

“You think it might be your mate?” I probed a bit further, seeing Madison and Stefanie come through the door followed closely behind by Xander, Brett and Charles.

“What else can it be?” Alexis answered with a question of her own.

Our friends slid onto the benches around us all joking and laughing about whatever they had been talking about on their way in.

“Has anyone seen Alex ? We have a presentation to do in History class this afternoon and I haven’t seen him yet today.” Brett asked everyone.

We all shook our heads. None of us had seen Alex today.

“I couldn’t reach him on the weekend either. He was supposed to come to my place on Saturday, but he never showed. I had to finish the prep work by myself.” Brett said in an angry tone. “Guess I’ll be doing the presentation alone as well.” He said under his breath.

Alexis snapped her head up and looked at me with wide eyes. She blinked and Onyx was staring back at me. She blinked again and Alexis was back. I knew immediately in my head and my heart that Alex had shifted and that is why Onyx has been on edge. He would not just bail on Brett with a big school project due for no reason. Alexis was still looking at me and I could tell she had figured it out too but did not know what to do.

“Go.” I said to her. She just sat there.

“Go.” I said again. Alexis jumped into action and started to pack up her stuff. Her hands were shaking, and she was fumbling. She knocked her water bottle onto the floor. I reached out and put my hand on her arm to get her attention.

“I’ve got your stuff. Just go.” I said to her. She looked at me for a second, then turned and left the cafeteria as fast as she could without drawing attention from the teachers on lunch duty.

“What was all that about?” Charles asked chuckling. I looked back at him and smiled.

“Alex.” I answered with one word. Which gained a few shocked reactions.

“Really?” Madison looked at me.

“Shut the f**k up!” Brett exclaimed.

“Are you sure?” Stefanie asked skeptically.

“You really think…” Xander’s question dropped off.

“Fuckin’ right!” Charles stated enthusiastically and pumped his fist in the air.

I notice Xander reach out and put his hand on Madison’s leg under the table. Her eyes go wide, and she looked at Stef across the table before I see her remove Xander’s hand from her leg. I can tell it is hard for them to be keeping the fact that they have mated quiet from everyone.

Alexis POV

Alyssa is trying to talk to me, but all I want to really do is sleep. However, Onyx will not stop pacing in my head. She continually tells me that our mate is close by, and we need to find them. She has been getting more and more insistent as the days go by. Even with my head down on the table Alyssa is still talking. I can hear others sit down around us.

Has anyone seen Alex?” We have a presentation to do in History class this afternoon and I haven’t seen him yet today.” I heard Brett ask our friends. “I couldn’t reach him on the weekend either. I had to finish the prep work by myself.” I could tell Brett was angry. “Guess I’ll be doing the presentation alone as well.” I could hear him say angrily under his breath.

Onyx stopped pacing, which got my attention. “Alex!” Onyx yelled through the mind link, startling me. I snapped my head up and looked at Alyssa. I could feel Onyx pushing through. I blinked and everything went black. Damnit, she took over without letting me know! I blinked again and everything came back. Alyssa was looking at me.

“Go.” One word was all she said, and I just stared at her, unable to move.

“Go.” She said again. This time my brain registered what she said, and my body listened. Adrenaline and nervous energy were running through me. I needed to pack up my stuff. I launched into action but was too shaky. My hand hit something, and I heard my water bottle hit the floor. Just as quickly I could feel a hand on my arm. I looked at it. It was Alyssa’s.

“I’ve got your stuff. Just go.” That was all I needed to hear. I got up and walked out of the cafeteria as fast as I could hoping I would not get stopped by one of the teachers or told to slow down. I needed to find Alex! I made it to the front doors of the school in record time and bolted for the road. I made it all the way to the highway before I changed my mind and ran to the woods so I could shift. I would get to him faster in wolf form.

I sent Alyssa a quick text to tell her where I was leaving my clothes and phone before allowing Onyx to come forward and shifting. I have only shifted three times since February, and it still hurt a lot. I put my hands over my mouth to muffle my screams but can only do that for so long. Paws do not work so well.

Onyx POV

I was glad Alexis decided to take the woods. We will get to our mate a lot faster this way. I let out a loud howl to let him know we are on our way. I do not know where his is, just that he is nearby, and I can feel him pulling me toward him. The closer I get, the stronger it feels. It is a difficult feeling to describe and unless you have felt it, I do not think you will fully understand. My drive to get to him was strong. We have been waiting for him for months.

We run for over an hour through the forest, and I have no idea where we are. Alexis has no memories of this area. I can hear water nearby on my left. I slow down and move toward it so I can have a drink. It is hot out again today. I take a long drink from the water, quenching my thirst. As I raise my head, I smell the most amazing smell I have ever smelled. It is so strong; I can almost taste it. I start to move again and follow the smell. It is getting stronger.

I stop when I feel the fur on the back of my neck start rising. There is something dangerous nearby. Is that what I am smelling? Then I see him, another wolf is staring straight at me. His face is sticking out from behind a waterfall. I stop dead in my tracks. I make eye contact with the bright green eyes staring back at me and I know without a shadow of doubt that I have found him!

He takes a step toward me, and I realize just how large his is. He is easily three times my size. I have not been around any other wolves since the first day I shifted. I thought I was small but did not know just how small. I moved toward him. All fear gone now. All I wanted was to be near him. I needed to get Alexis to him!

He stayed where he was at the base of the waterfall, letting me go to him. As I approached, he laid down on the ground with his front legs straight out in front of him. I sniffed him carefully before nuzzling my nose against the side of his face. Then I felt it. The pain of the first snap of bones as I shift back to Alexis. I dropped to the ground in pain as she took over.

Alexis POV

Shifting still hurt like hell. Once I finished shifting, I just laid on the ground curled into a ball and taking deep breaths while my body recovered from the trauma. I could hear my mate moaning in pain beside me and I knew exactly what he was going through. I still did not know if it was Alex or not as I had only seen his wolf. I slowly turned my head to see that it was him. My heart started racing. I moved closer to him and set my hand on his shoulder. He looked up at me and smiled when our eyes met.

“Mine!” A voice I did not recognize stated before Alex reached out and pulled me close to him. It was like a spark of electricity on my skin when he touched me. It sent warm tingles through my body.

“Mate!” Onyx yelled. She was running circles in my head.

I do not know how long we laid there together in each other’s arms. It was long enough for both of us to recover from the pain of shifting. I could feel our bond growing stronger the longer we sat with each other. I am not going to lie though; I am nervous about what comes next for us to complete the mating process. But I am happy.
