It has to be a dream!
No matter how hard I blink, the images of the people I hate the most, stare at me.
My mother and father, just stand and look at me with pity and pain pal ale in their gaze, like they will never hurt a fly. They are as calm and innocent-looking as I remember.
For a moment, I go blank, not sure if I should lash out my annoyance at Jayden for putting up with this and bringing me yea. Worst still, on my birthday, or my parents forever thinking they deserve to demand my presence, not after the shitty things they made me go through.
Sensing that it is a private moment, Jayden stands afar, giving us the privacy we should have.
"Celine..."
"Don't touch me." I scold my mother. My voice is a low growl.
"My dear..."
She still tries to pull me in a hug,
