Moi Padre's voice booms from the speaker. The only thing that can get my father this worked up is when a business deal flops, or he offends a client, or I don't meet his standards, which I always fall victim to.

"Then you find out!" He interrupts me with his roar, almost ruining my eardrums. "You never know what's going on around you. So you know, you owe me ten grand. Merda!"
