Dear skies!
My office landline rings, making me jolt, with Jayden's hand falling off my body as a result.
Grateful for the saving, I rush to get it, leaving his grip and freeing my deflated lungs. I just resumed, so I wonder who the caller is.
"Hello, Miss..." I pause, not sure if I should brag about my title. "Celine on the line," I say instead.
