"I need you to take down Jayden, your boss."
"Wh-what?"
"And I know you want your freedom so badly, I'll grant you that."
Wait... Did Kelvin hit his head on the wall? Did he get bitten by an alien?... What the heck is he talking about?
This isn't the time to sip coffee or get comfortable. Already irritated, I set my coffee mug on the table beside me, and sit upright, processing all that he had just said to my face.
"Let me get this right," I pause my lips. "You want me to ruin my boss, your brother?"
"Hmm-hmm,"
His tone is flat and blunt, as he nods nonchalantly. His hands are in his pockets as he approaches me without passing an iota of remorse.
