Lily squeezed her eyes shut and opened them again. “Nope still there” she squeaked.
A deep chuckle came from the golden eyes.
The noise makes her insides clench, and she lets out a small “Oh”.
Looking closer at the golden eyes, she sees a face attached to them. ‘Not sure why you’re surprised on that front, i***t’ a voice in her head states.
Peering closely at the beautiful golden eyes, the worry etched on the handsome face. Realisation creeps up on her when she finally realises who it is.
“What the f**k are you doing here Jake?!”
She glares up at his perfect face, and regrets it slightly when she sees pain etched into his expression.
He looks away quickly and when his face returns, the expression was gone.
“Well apparently, I’m stopping you from throwing yourself off cliffs” he spits out.
She sighs and realises what an ass she’s been. “I’m sorry, I’ve not been having a good time. Thank you for catching me. I’m really glad you’re here”
Jake peers at her closely, and seeing the sincerity in her expression can't help the smile creeping onto his face.
“Lets get you out of here shall we?” And with that he strides out, finding his way through the trees with ease.
Still holding her in his arms.
Lily gazed up into Jakes face, as he carried her through the forest. Feeling a sense of warmth and safety within his arms.
She was sure she could hear others around them, but too tired to care she let sleep overcome her.
Jake looked down at Lily curled up in his arms, and nuzzled into his chest. He couldn't stop the smile appearing on his face, or breathing in deeply, so he could relish in her scent. As he bends down to place a kiss on her forehead, he hears an angry growl rip through the forest from the direction Lily had come.
Lily sprang awake, hearing the loud noise. She peers up at Jake with fear in her eyes.
She sees him talking in a hushed, agitated tone to somebody next to him. Trying to peer round to see who it was, she feels Jake’s arms tighten his hold on her.
Realising he must have been carrying her for a long time she found it odd that his strength did not appear to be wavering in the slightest. Carrying her as if she weighed nothing.
But fearing he masked his struggle well, she dejectedly offered
“I can walk now Jake”
He looked down at her, and whilst Lily was expecting to see his bright gold eyes. She was met with jet black. They resonated pure anger, and yet also pain and fear.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath before opening them again.
The black was gone, and they were back to their normal colour ‘if you can call gold normal’ the voice in her head muttered.
“No Lily, it’s fine. Try and go back to sleep”
At this he pulled her in closer to his chest, she couldn’t help herself. His scent was overwhelming as she found herself nuzzling in closer. Tiredness washed over her again, and pulled her back under.
Lily awoke to find herself in a familiar bed. She tried to sit up only to find that she couldn’t.
Wriggling around, she found she was trapped against something solid. She peered over her shoulder and the realisation dawned on her of who it was.
She jumped back with a start accidentally kicking him in the leg.
His eyes flickered open and a smile spread on his face.
“Morning sunshine” he purred, the way he spoke sent tingles through her body.
Her movements had knocked the covers off of him. Revealing a sculpted tanned torso, every muscle well defined.
Every part of him was immaculately made. As she looked into his face, she could see how shapely it was. His jawline sharp and chiseled.
His lips ‘oh gosh his lips’ she groaned; were sculpted perfectly. They looked irrisistably kissable, so entranced was she. That she hadn’t noticed herself moving slowly towards him. It wasn’t until she felt his warm breath against hers, that she finally came back to her senses.
A blush crept up her neck, and she tried to duck away.
He took her chin, and pulled her face back towards his.
“There’s no need to shy away from me doll”
She looked into his eyes, and became lost in them.
Being this close she could see that they were not actually gold, but a beautiful hazel brown with flecks of gold running through them.
He still had his hand on her chin and pulled it slightly towards him, she looked down at his lips and couldn’t help herself.
Lily leaned forwards the rest of the way and pushed her lips against his.
The shock that ran through her when they touched made her insides squirm. Her heartbeat quickened, and she put her hands into his hair and pulled him closer. Needing to lose any of the space between them.
She felt a growl resonate from his chest, as he grabbed her and pulled her on top of him. Struggling for breath she felt herself pull away, and looked up into his eyes.
They were black, mesmerizingly so. The pure lust that she saw there made a fire build between her legs.
As she squirmed from the feeling, she could feel his hardness against her leg. A groan escaped her lips, and she mindlessly pulled harder on his hair.
He pulled her face back towards him, proceeded to place kisses along her jawline. Gradually moving downwards, until he reached a certain point at the crease of her neck. He stopped moving and began to focus his attention on this one place.
The sensation was overwhelming, making whimpers and moans escape from her lips.
She felt his teeth graze her skin, and felt the heat inside her build.
“Please” she begged, not even knowing what she was begging for.
Suddenly a knocking at the door caused them to pull apart.
The spell broke, and she looked over to see Jake’s eyes were back to their hazel golden’ness.
“What?!?” he hissed.
A head poked inside the door and a muttered “Alpha it’s urgent, we’ve found one”
“Right, meet me outside in five minutes” he instructed.
The door swung close, the unexpected guest clearly eager to leave the awkwardness.
“I’m sorry Lily, I don’t want to leave you. But I have to deal with this” he uttered. The sincerity in his voice making heart skip.
“Sh...sh... shall I call a taxi then to get home?” she stuttered. A sadness washing over her at this thought.
“No!!” he almost shouted, pulling her into his arms.
“Please promise me you won’t go anywhere.” there was a note to his tone, that made her look up. She saw the worried expression on his face and haltingly nodded in agreement.
As the door closed behind him, Lily’s senses appeared to return to her. It was like when they were together, there was nothing but them.
She realised how thirsty she still was, and her stomach grumbled loudly.
So loudly she didn’t hear the first knock on the door. A louder knock followed by the door opening, made her look up.
In front of her stood a shy young girl, holding a tray with plates of food on it.
The smell of bacon reached Lily’s nostrils, and she squealed in delight.
The girl stepped in and placed the tray on the bed.
“Thank you so much!” Lily said to the retreating girls back.
As the door closed behind her, Lily pulled the tray up onto her lap.
To her delight there was a full cooked breakfast on one plate, a bacon sandwich on another, and a bowl of cereal. As well as a carton each of apple and orange juice.
A groan escaped her lips as she shoved the bacon, and eggs into her mouth.
Enjoying the pleasure of food again, and delicious food at that.
She managed to eat the whole cooked breakfast as well as the bacon sandwich before she began to feel sick.
Shoving the tray to the bottom of the bed she curled back up under the covers, full and content she dozed off again with a smile. Memories of earlier playing in her mind.
