One plan often has more than one interpretation.
Ms Frasier pondered part two of her plan, which up to now had been in the development stages.
Ms Frasier told Mr McTaggart that she would do the publicity, let folk know about the “do” in the community centre.
Mr McTaggart told her not to bother, that the invitations had been sent, and assumed when Ms Frasier said nothing, she was doing nothing. After all, she hated the idea and had argued for Britain about it. He had no idea she had a plan. That she had lain awake at night with her precise army mind working overtime, plotting and planning, or that she had the powerhouse of Beatrice backing her every inch.
