“Ouch.” I winced, cursing under my breath after I stubbed my toe at the edge of my bed.
My room was dark and I didn't dare turn on the lights for fear of being caught. I was currently dressed in a dark cloak, trying to sneak out of my bedroom and into the garden to meet Serene and Mason who were probably already waiting for me.
I managed to navigate my way out of the dark room in one piece and after making sure the coast was clear, I slipped into the hallway. Guards had been positioned at strategic places which I knew about and did well to avoid them.
