The day of the anticipated royal masked ball had finally come, and you could definitely feel the excitement in the palace. I was still unhappy that the people had been left out despite the fact that the ball was thrown in their honor, and I decided to make it up to them after, without the council's knowledge, of course.
The day began with everyone putting the finishing touches to the preparations, and even though it was hectic, everything seemed to be going well till after I had breakfast. A few hours after eating, I began to feel a bit weak, and my vision turned blurry. I concluded that I probably ate something bad, and I managed to put up with it till it was time for the ball.
