Aria It was blood. The liquid splattered all over me was bright red blood. My eyes widened in fear and shock. Was that my blood? I examined my body. I didn't seem to have any new injuries. Where did this blood come from? I quickly discovered that the wolf on top of me had gone completely still. “You're welcome.” Mason rasped from behind the wolf, holding a bloodied sword. He had gutted the wolf from behind. I let out a relieved sigh, taking in Mason's appearance. “You look like shit.” I said, pushing the dead wolf off me.
