7 The boys and Spriggan approached the group of adults surrounding the children. The girl still had her arms crossed in front of her and eyed the adults warily. The boy was still clinging to Wunder's hand, but didn't seem to mind being the center of attention, as the half-giant whispered to his mother. Max listened as his Aunt Griselda asked about their parents. The boy paused and stared at the ground. “We don't have any parents.” he said, softly. The adults grew silent as he looked up at them with watery gray eyes. Max watched his Aunt Esther and grandmother melt. His Aunt Griselda cleared her throat. “Well, you both can stay with us until we can locate a relative,” she said. “Fuster will show you to your rooms.” The boy looked up at Wunder questioningly.
