5 Max ran through the house to the stairs. He had to find out where the other stones were or who they belonged to. There had to be more clues in the book or map. He must've missed something. He reached the top of the stairs and could hear Alice moving around in her room. He was in no mood to listen to her now. “I know you're there, Max Hamby,” she screeched. “Death is closer than you think.” He charged down the hallway and lit a fireball in his hand. “They walk hand in hand through the darkness,” she said.
