It was raining cat and dog outside,all the way home.

The atmosphere felt as gloomy as my mood.

" Why is the day going this bad",I grumbled outloud as I arrived at home drenched by the rain.

After what I experienced today, I strongly believe that someone must have cursed me with bad luck,I thought, as I entered the house.

" I am definitely right, because the bad luck I experienced today is definitely more than I have experienced in my whole life,I mumbled under my breath", as I came to a conclusion in my mind, while I entered the house.

"Is that you Fred,I thought you said you would be back in twenty minutes", came my mom's voice from the kitchen.

"It's not dad, but me mom", i announced as I walked in through the door

"Oh my, you look awful, c'mon go change upstairs quickly before you catch a cold".

Oh hell!! And mom wasn't lying, I really looked awful , drenched

"Ay ay mum, I threw back reluctantly from the stairs

"Be sure to come down early for lunch" mum's voice echoed down the hallway.

"Not eating "

"But thanks anyway"I added as I ascended up the last steps of the staircase.

"C'mon dear, food does the trick everytime" mum urged as she trailed off her steps to get busy in the kitchen

I quickly dropped my bag on the table, as I entered my room, I took a hoody lying my bed and entered the bathroom sluggishly.

"Awwww, why me", I exclaimed angrily has i took off my clothes.

"I am sure am going to fall ill,all thanks to this stupid rain and mr edward fault, i grumbled has dropped my wet clothes in the empty laundry box in the bathroom".

"He his definitely a walking nightmare for him,I wish he falls ill and retire",I exclaimed angrily cursing in my mind.

I took the hoody I saw on my bed and wore it, I took a towel from the rank and started drying my hair.

"My room is a mess,I really need to do a clean up for my room",I said has I looked round my room trying to find a sweatpants to wear.

I brought out my phone from the bag and placed it on the bed as i removed the towel from my head.

"Eva come down quickly the soup is ready", shouted mom from the kitchen.

"Ok mom, am coming, i replied, while dropping the towel in my hand.

I took myphone from the bed as i quickly descended the stairs.

"Am down now mom, i said as entered the kitchen.

If could smell the soup from this place",I wonder how concentrated the soup is,I thought in my mind as I shudder.

"Ok your soup is on the kitchen counter, make sure you drink it all,I don't want you to go around infecting everyone in the house", mom answered from the dining table.

"Mom, I don't have flu, it just got drenched, i really don't think this is necessary",i replied annoyed.

Looking at the soup in front of me,I sat down looking litless.

"Eva I don't want to know, just drink it all", she said as she entered the kitchen.

"I am going to watch you drink it all", she said as she sat across her from the kitchen counter.

"You know am not a little child or criminal that needs to be put under surveillances", i said grumpyly.

"Stop whining and drink the soup, it is going cold", answered my mom looking annoyed.

"Ok I will, don't be annoyed, i replied has i picked up the soup spoon.

I had an irritated and miserable expression on my face has i took the first spoon from the soup.

I could hardly feel my tongue,I always wondered how something could taste like this,I am sure I would fall ill from the soup and not the rain.

"Eva stop that tortured expression you are making with your face,it not like am forcing you to drink poison or torturing you", said mom looking angry.

"Mom,I am drinking the soup has you instructed, you know it doesn't taste that good", i answered has she took another spoon from the soup.

The image of me shoveling the soup down mr edwards throat was the only thing consoling me as I drank.

I was imagining how is face would be when he is done drinking the soup,I was smirking evilly in my mind when the bell rang, snapping me out of my thought.

"Let me get that mom", I said has i ran out of the kitchen.

Who ever rang the doorbell is a lifesaver,I thought in my mind as I approached the door.

"That naughty girl", mom mumble under her breath has she turned to finish her chores.

"Welcome back dad, Let me take your back and coat", I said said as I entered the sitting room with my dad by my side.

"Welcome back honey,eva go and put your dad's stuff to there rightful place and come back immediately", mom said as she ursherd dad in.

"Yeah mom, am coming, it not like am running like a criminal", i answered with an annoyed.

"It like she can read my mind,how did she know what I want to do",i grumbled has I entered the kitchen.

"You do know your soup is getting cold", mom said as she approached the counter.

"Which soup is that lora",dad inquired while facing mom.

"Honey,it my special soup for cold ",eva came in drenched by the rain, answered lora.

"Dad, you know I don't like taking the soup, and I doubt I will fall ill", i said whining to my dad.

I really hope dad would rescue me from this torture,I thought while looking at him pleadingly.

"Sweety you know your mom is right, just endure it", replied dad sternly.

"Dad please, wolves don't get sick easily", I answered trying to persuade them.

"yeah strong and powerful ones don't", came a voice from the back of the kitchen.

Me and my family are not like every normal family.

We are werewolf,we belong to the moonlight pack in America,it is the most powerful pack in the country, it is located in virginia.

We have the strongest alliances against witches,our mortar enemy.

I am twenty one years old , I transformed into my wolf form when I was eighteen, which quite late for most wolves, because most werewolf turn when they are about sixteen and eighteen.

Our pack has the strongest werewolf guard,we priotise alot on strength.

In terms of strength I would say I am average compared to other members of the pack

Max my brother tends to make fun of me for that.

I looked back and saw my elder brother max at the kitchen entrance.

"Stop being a jerk and mean ", I replied annoyed at max remark.

"Hide your claws kiddo, you know am right ",replied max with a mischievous smirk on his face.

"You know your opinion is not needed",I answered quite irritated.

I felt like wiping that annoying smirk off his face.

Max can be annoying at times,we both love each other alot,he is quite protective of me, but he always says that he is the only one allowed to bully me, which he does alot.

"Ok cut it off, you and max should stop arguring like kids",lora said.

"Max when did you return,we didn't hear the door bell ring", asked lora as max sat on the kitchen counter.

"I came through the back door, answered max picking up an apple from the counter.

"The back door should be locked, how did you enter then, don't tell me you broke the door handle",I asked mischievously.

"I have a spare key, and I don't go around breaking stuff",I can handle my werewolf strength, answered max irritated with my question.

It is so fun to tease him some times, the irritated look on his face is so refreshing.

"At least I turned early and have more experience and have more power unlike you", added max smugly.

"Stop saying that,I just need more practice, watch it,a day is coming when I would be wiping your ass, it just taking time", I replied totally pissed.

"Yeah slowpoke, it takes time, and that is just going to only happen in your dream", answered max sarcastically.

"Ok cut it out,max stop messing around and annoying your sister, and eva quickly finished your soup, lora said interfering as she reprimanded them.

"Yeah drink your soup and stop annoying everyone", said max smugly.

"Mom max is being mean again",I shouted angryly to her mom.

"Max how come you are not wet I thought your car is till at the mechanics" ,I asked curiously.

"You know some of us are smart enough to check weather forecast", answered max sarcastically.

"Stop being a jerk max ,I did check the forecast, you know london's weather, some times it says rain and next thing you know it sunny ", I replied has I finished the soup.

" Regardless, you should always be prepared, and I hitched a ride with Mike back,dad left before me",answered max as he left the kitchens counter.

"Mike is so nice he should have left you",I replied has I left the kitchen.

"Enough of your argument, lunch is ready, come to the dining,eva bring those plates on the counter, lora said from the dining.

I brought the plates and drop it on the dining table arranging them.

"Thank you dear", said mom as I arranged the plates.

"No problem mom",i said has I sat on the chair.

"Am has hungry as a wolf",max said has he entered the dining and sat down.

"We are wolves you know",I answered sarcastically.

"Let's eat", dad said has he sat down and started eating.

The lunch was uneventful with some argument between eva and max.

"Eva how was your first day at work", asked fred while eating.

I felt like I was struck with thunder,I don't know how to reply.

"It was ummmmm", I was stuttering

To form a statement,I don't know what to say.

"It must have been exciting, mom answered", looking at me.

" your grandfather called me today", replied fred looking round the table.

"What did you talk about", asked max curiously.

"He inquired about Eva's internship,he said he would call her",dad explained.

I was sweating profusely,as my dad spoke.

I was expecting him to call, but never thought it would be this soon.

I thought he would be busy, how does he have this free time.

The council must be less busy this days, for him to remember and call.

..... my grandpa belong to the council.

The council are powerful and important members of the pack, they are the guardians of the pack, they help the Alpha in managing and maintaining all pack rules.

My grandpa has one of the biggest company in the country, he is a business tycoon with a lot of money,my dad is the eldest of three children, two boys and a girl,my dad, uncle and my brother are presently the one managing the company alongside my cousin, after my grandpa declared him retirement.

My grandpa was the one who got me the internship.

I don't know how to explain myself what happened to my family.

"You should call him up",my dad said as he turned to me.

"Umm",I answered snapping out of my thought.

Oh boy, what do I do,I exclaimed nervously in my mind.

"Yeah, dad is right, grandpa was so excited about your internship", max added as he finished his food.

I feel more bad hearing all this, grandpa has alot of expectation from me.

"I have something to say",I said as I looked round the room nervously.

I gulp nervously looking at there faces.

"I umm, want...",I stutter as I spoke.

"Are you ok baby, mom inquired with a concerned expression.

"I am ok mom",I said assuring her.

"I just wanted to say,I want to quit my internship",I said nervously in one breath closing my eyes.

The atmosphere became stiffen as the room decended in to silence.
